It is, but both The Nasuverse and This WIki distinguish the 2 powers. And Gil can have his perception messed with in base form, but not his mind

Perception manip is done through mind manip in Naruto, so it would be equalized with that.

Genjutsu works by sending chakra into the opponent's brain via some medium of sight, sound, etc and using that chakra to mess with their brain.

Gil resists having his brain having hell imprinted on it. Also chakra is equalised to magic, so his armour which gives him magic resist would straight up lolnope chakra trying to get into his brain. He'll resist genjutsu

Why does Chakra equlise to magic?

Because both are supernatural energy sources that are the source of the majority of superpowers in the verse.

If you don't want to equalise chakra, Gil just straight up won't be affected by genjutsu seeing as he has no chakra to manipulate with genjutsu.

I don't know if that's enough to say he can resist genjustu. Since Madara can use genjustu on people who can release lower level genjutsu.

I'm just playing devil's advocate at this point, Gilly probably wins...but I'm not fully conviced yet.

It did that with 6 billion curses. Even a single curse would be sufficient to melt the mind and soul of a human who was touched by it.

That's better than anything Madara's genjutsu has done.

Gil is superior to 385 Megatons, even assuming Madara was Baseline High 7A, he's not even 3x stronger

Umm...this is Edo Madara....he has 6-B wood release, Low 6-B tengai Shinsei, and High 6-A perfect susano'o....compared to Gilly's 7-A durability..

Gil is soo cocky and overconfident to the point of underestimate his opponents,being like "hit me im know its not gonna work but im will let you try it cause im nice" and before he overthink his life choices he gets destroyed by Madara Country level attacks.

Gil has auto defense stuff. He wouldn't simply let his opponent hit him, he isn't that arogent. Also, if Madara does actually try to go CQC with Gil he is gonna get spatially cut up. One of the few weapons Gil will consistently actually use is his Golden Axe that cuts space, and we wields it himself
