I believe there isn't a standard for if energy beams are blunt or not. Some lasers explode in fiction, others burn through your face. To my knowledge, it's 100% based off of what's shown.

Does someone have clips of said lasers? Do they pierce and cut, or explode?

Space is ******* brutal.

As taken from this source-

  • "Upon sudden decompression in vacuum, expansion of air in a person's lungs is likely to cause lung rupture and death unless that air is immediately exhaled. Upon sudden decompression in vacuum, expansion of air in a person's lungs is likely to cause lung rupture and death unless that air is immediately exhaled."
  • "Contrary to how the lungs are supposed to function at atmospheric pressure, oxygen diffuses out of the bloodstream when the lungs are exposed to a vacuum. This leads to a condition called hypoxia, or oxygen deprivation. Within 15 seconds, deoxygenated blood begins to be delivered to the brain, whereupon unconsciousness results."
  • "Data from animal experiments and training accidents suggest that an individual could survive at least another minute in a vacuum while unconscious, but not much longer."
Not to mention, due to a lack of actual matter in space, flying will be difficult, although I do not know how Luffy can fly.

Well he obviously can't do that in outer space.

He'll be paralyzed. He can't fly unless he moves his legs.

Also, if Peridot keeps him imobalized for too long, Gear 4th runs out and he's ******.

...is that her only wincon?

Since manually carrying Luffy into outer space seems very OOC, and would incline me to believe this is a stomp.

Could she just move him there, like, no throw?
Shr can only move things a few feet, she needs both hands to control the ship both manually and remotely, she'd have to throw him

OoC wincon =/= Stomp.

I think we should create a discussion rule about this argument. It has been used so much times it's boring to repeat the same counterargument over and over.

Relying on the opponent to do absurd, out of character things for them to win is definitionally a stomp.

It's as if the argument for The God Emperor to not stomp Peridot via The God Emperor acting OOC and killing himself.

Out of character wincons, unless bloodlusted, are not wincons against stomps.

If the wincon exists even if the character is not bloodlusted, then it's because they can do it. Not doing so because in-character style says no it's not an argument to prove a stomp.
