Now for the irrelevant details: Speed equalized, and the battle takes place inside a moving cruise ship pool with waist-length water

It's funny because if Natsu tries fighting back by mustering up flames he will likely evaporate all the water in the pool, removing Luffy's part of the problem. (If he sinks the cruise ship then Luffy's screwed.)

The location makes it so that Natsu literally can't move. I get that you're also trying to nerf Luffy in this regard by making them fight in a waste deep pool but Luffy getting out of a pool of NOT seawater is significantly easier than Natsu getting off the entire cruise ship.

Anyways, I'm gonna opt to ignore the location cuz it's just spite

Natsu in LFDM scales above Erigor's calc to a stupendous degree, making him 68.4 Gigatons
Luffy in Gear 2, which is the form he can most consistently maintain at the moment, scales to 18.7 Gigatons, up to 74.9 Gigatons with his strongest attacks

yeah no Luffy stands no chance, his strongest attacks nerf his own speed, and even if we say that Gear 2 can blitz Natsu, Natsu's passive Fire and Lightning aura, as well as his massive AOE attacks, AND Sword Horn, which sets his entire body on fire (and lightning), should still be able to land, especially since he can facetank Luffy's pretty well

Luffy can combine Gear 2nd and Gear 3rd to retain his speed amp. Gear 3rd is also noted to not decrease his speed after the Enies Lobby Arc, and given Nightmare Luffy was mentioned to be restricted in the OP as well as SBA, this can be assumed to be at least a Thriller Bark+ Luffy.

Natsu quite literally would be unable to react to Luffy in Gear 2nd, meaning he can land many of his attacks before Natsu would even be able to respond, like against Blueno. Any of Luffy's stronger Gear 2nd attacks (which he can spam) like Jet Rifle or Jet Gatling would be dealing noticeable damage to Natsu.

Natsu's wincon is to somehow put Luffy down with lightning and fire based attacks. I don't have to explain why the former wouldn't be effective, and the latter also means little considering Luffy's heat resistance. The sheer AP of Natsu's attacks aren't beating Luffy not only because of his insane endurance and pain tolerance, but also because of his resistance to blunt force attacks, which would require Natsu to overcome the limit of his elasticity. This wouldn't be happening in this match due to the large difference in Lifting Strength (Class M vs >> Class T)

as much as I don't agree that Gear 2 + Gear 3 is spammable, Luffy kinda just blitzes lmao, he's immune to literally everything besides the magic power behind Natsu's attacks, which isn't present in his aura and is only active during attacks, which Natsu can't reliably land unless he nukes the entire landscape, but Luffy can dodge
