Light vs Darkness! Protectors of Balance! Aqua vs Bayonetta!

So since this discussion is over...

Voting Aqua since she resists a majority of Bayonetta's hax, and her time stop can bypass resistances, plus she can BFR+seal with the Keyblade.

BFR + Sealing leaves her too vulnerable for it to be a legitimate option TBH, but the rest is legit.

The BFR+seal is just a simple blast from the Keyblade, Sora did it to Randall's door.
Yes, but Randall had to enter it first.

@Weekly, it seems Aqua simply just won't care of her soul being destroyed and continue as if nothing happened regarding that.

Bayo can also kinda just reflect the BFR if its a beam-based attack
No, the beam is the Sealing part, for Aqua to BFR, Bayo has to enter something that can be sealed in the first place first, which can range from simple door portals to dimensional gates.

Yeah, the BFR is sort of garbage since it's beam based tbh.

@Bobsican You don't need to enter something. Xehanort was sealed inside of Kingdom Hearts, the conceptual compilcation of all hearts and light. If Bayonetta didn't dodge or reflect, she would be sealed and BFR'd to somewhere.

@Speedster If Bayo gets BFRed she can just use her dimensional travel to escape or use time travel to get out

Fair enough. Can Bayonetta do anything against dozens of chains that High 4-Cs can't break out of, status effect inducement, Time Manipulation that works on people who resist, and Non Existence Erasure?

EE only works on beings that have nonexistent physiology to begin with, BTW.

However, Aqua does have a move that does EE on "normal" stuff via that one D-Link that simulates Warp, that one EE spell.

@Speedster What kind of status effects? And Bayo actually has experience fighting against people who can time hax her beyond her capacity to resist it including people like Balder who spam timestop.

Confusion, blinding, sleep inducement, and shrinking, with confusion and sleep inducement working on Heartless who are entirely mindless, conceptual, and don't require sleep. She would also use her chains and Gravity Manipulation to keep Bayonetta in a single place.

Bayo would be able to resist confusion due to her being unaffected by being cut by Sloth's swords, Blinding wouldnt really do much due to Bayo's stupidly good senses to the point that she's been able to effectively fight opponents without even needing to look at them. How do her sleep and shrinking abilities work?

Bayo is both going to be receiving a resistance to gravity manip and has experience fighting in zero-gravity. Chains get noped by Bat Within.

Sleep works via the Sleep spell, which creates waves of energy around the user, those caught in it fall sleep, and it goes pretty similar regarding shirinking (via the Mini spell, which works similarly to Sleep).

A few meters (regarding AoE), and tens of seconds if it lands (the effect), the move itself only lasts about an instant (Start to finish)

Mini KHBBS

Does the opponent wake up or something if theyre hit by sleep or are they just asleep for 10 seconds regardless of what happens to them?

And the potency of Sloth's sword is? Her confusion works on mindless Heartless who are entirely conceptual due to being a heart like I said. Fair enough for blinding. Sleep and shrinking are an omnidirectional blast that Aqua casts by raising her Keyblade.

Again, what is the potency of her resistance? Gravity spells in KH are in multiple levels with each being stronger than the last, and Aqua can use the strongest version of it.The chains capture hundreds of Heartless , and Aqua would scale to the Linger Will's use of it which trapped a large area in chains to the point Terranort couldn't leave.

They're asleep regardless of what happens to them.

She has a resistance comparable to Jeanne, who was unaffected by Alraune's mind destroying insanity inducing poison being injected into her soul for almost a full 24 hours. How often does Aqua use Sleep? Bayo has several ways around Shrink but Sleep would be a bit of an issue.

Due to her contract with Madama Butterfly Bayo can just completely ignore gravity, though from the description of it its just an AoE gravity deletion so since Bayo has fought in zero-g as well as having stuff like teleportation and portals and barriers and attack reflection and all sorts of other defensive things it really wouldnt be much of an issue.

Those Heartless also kinda...broke out. Pretty easily at that, whereas Bayo doesnt even need to break it she can just turn into a cloud of smaller bats and escape, or even teleport.

Then Bayonetta's resistance is inferior to Aqua's potency because confusion affects Heartless, beings who entirely lack a mind. soul and mind are considered the exact same thing in verse. Aqua's entire character is centered around magic, so she's very likely to use sleep.

She scales to the Gravity spell by virtue of being a Keyblade Master, and that it's an extremely common spell for a Keyblade Wielder. It's not just zero gravity.

They broke out because the Demon Tide is comparable to Aqua, a High 4-C character. Aqua already has an enormous AP advantage against Bayonetta, she can't break out via raw strength. Once again howis she escaping something that bound hundreds of Heartless? Her only valid way of escaping is teleporting, and that won't even let her escape since I showed a clip of the chains being able to work regardless of them being manipulated. If both the gravity and chain spells don't work, Aqua has the bind spell which Bayonetta won't be able to escape from regardless of turning into bats or teleporting.

Soul and Mind are the same thing in verse, yes, but please link that part properly, thanks.

Huh, I actually didn't notice the gap was that big. I'm with Weekly that it probably is a stomp.

@Bobsican I linked the Ansem report where it talks about the soul.
