Trunks wouldn't let garou grow ki users can sense killing intent and act accordingly so trunks would try to end the fight quickly.

Garou can only copy Trunks once before his RE kicks in making him resistant to Power Mimicry. Saiyan’s RE in the XV and Heroes is busted af, allowing them to evolve through even 5D hax, let alone a 3D Power Mimicry. Then he turns SSJ Grade 2, which is 10 times more powerful than SSJ and pummels Garou.

Iirc Garou's Copy stuff is instant
Idk if he could evolve to having Power Mimicry resistence, also he wont gain 5D hax cuz cause Saiyan RE is defensive only, and Garou can copy a 10x boost, since its still finite

It’s not instant, he have to witness something to copy it
Trunks RE make him become resistant to 5D Hax, as shown in his profile. Garou can only copy Trunks once, after that, Trunks RE kicks in make him resistant to Power Mimicry, then he turns SSJ Grade 2.

Then he could dodge until he could, Garou has the range to copy from afar anyways
None of the saiyans had RE'd Power Mimicry before iirc, also Power Mimicry isnt an attack, and idk if Trunks would go Grade 3 before Garou could AD, after he realizes he's simillar in power

Not seeing anything here that would be an issue for Garou. He instantly copies 3-B AP and rapidly evolves while slapping him up in martial arts.
Evolving to power mimicry is gonna need some very specific evidence.
Trunks does not resist deconstruction or vibrations or durability negation either so Garou can just portal punch him while using his composite martial art and One-Shot.

To note for Trunks his Ki can warp passively space-time, which would probably include his attacks on Garou
