Information about our recent forum server move

No. When the plug-in that handled our notifications was updated to the latest version, that setting was automatically changed as well, but Sultan found the right setting to modify, so our notifications hopefully work as they did before our server move again. 🙏

Please tell us here if anybody finds any other errors that need to be corrected. 🙏
All right, it half-works, so... yeh.
 
Serious problem: Two-step Authenticator has died on us, I had to use one of my backup codes to get in.
Ouch. That is very serious if accurate. The Google Authenticator worked for me earlier today, but I will definitely mention the problem.
 
I mean I am not getting email notification of posts that I am following too. I have to check manually by coming on forum list

Yeah I gave it a solid ten minutes to work, and even now I haven't gotten any emails for my two-step code
Okay. So it was done via email, not an authentication program. Good to know. 🙏

Anyway, I informed our system administrator about these issues earlier, but he is exhausted from all of his work with moving this forum, so he likely needs to rest for quite a while. 🙏
 
By the way, the mark read button in notifications doesn't work for me as this happens.

Nope. Idk about Dread. Also, just in case you're mistaken, that comment of mine was a joke since Dereck and I would often horse around with each other.

Anyways, I suspect it's probably something wrong with the console code though I'm not sure and pretty much have zero professionalism in that.
 
Okay. Also, our forum system administrator told me that he does not encounter the problem himself, so he thinks that it may be some personal Internet error.

Sultan mentioned that it might take a few days to complete the move (migration). This is causing issues like old links persisting, as he's upgrading to XF 2.1 and transferring to a new server. This delay is also why 2fa isn't functioning. I'll assist once the process is finished, but for now, we'll have to wait a few days.

To make it simple for people: as much as Sultan took days to build the form of this forum in the early ages, he needs to invest the same amount on the new server.

Give it a time.

Also, do you know why I have to wait for 45 seconds every time I post a public discussion thread message here currently, whereas the process is much swifter when I post in private discussion threads or user message walls?
 
Yes, it takes quite a long time for our system to process the posts every time that I submit them.
Due to the new migration, some options have been reset. Therefore, you or the forum manager unfortunately need to re-enable or re-adjust them. The same applies to templates and preference settings.

Please allow some time for the migration to complete, the new version to be installed, and everything will be sorted out.

Our forum system manager said that our new updates have increased our security settings, so the delays for my posts may be due to that I have been using a VPN, as an automated defence against spam, and Cloudflare also has defences against that.
Also if I may ask the name of the new server in private?
That does not seem appropriate.
