Everyone can hear every others D beings voice in the book so I doubt it's meant to be an actual ability of the little guy.

Ehh, the angels do not take complete control of people, they only guide their steps, in addition to requiring that they infect the victim with a video or a photo in that way to enter the subconscious to affect it in a more extreme way

Well, sound as we know It moves in 3 dimensions, the monarch isn't in ant of these dimensions thanos to being 0D, while the others are in a plane that the sound can be in.
So It is a feat to the monarch, he should have limited higher dimension interaction or echanted senses, maybe will do a CRT tomorrow about It

If you do a CRT on Flatland please just do one for the entire book. There's easily 5 additions to make.
Abott isn't portraying 0D as non-existence. It exists in dimensions.

the point isn't that MoP failed to comprehend higher dimensions, it's that he literally could not comprehend anything other than himself, which is exclusively unique to his 0 dimensional existence

a 0D "plane" is just a single point which is how pointland is described. There are no directions/dimensions because there is exactly 1 location in the entire universe. (I have "plane" in quotes because it's technically an inaccurate term to use, but it's helpful for visualization)

Exactly, It being able to hear and produce sound and light into the 2D plane should make him have higher dimension interaction or at least echanced senses

yeah I guess that makes sense, though it is a bit uneasy since Flatland essentially operates on multiple nested universes such that each dimensional universe exists within a higher dimension. As such, his being able to hear sounds that pass through the exact point he exists on would make sense without higher dimensional interaction, however his ability to produce light and sound is much more impressive since that actually does require active interaction with higher dimensions

It isn't. The novel flat out says it's no different from the others. He could realize the voices aren't his thoughts, just like how the King of Lineland reacted to A Square talking to him from Flatland, but he's just that egocentric.
