If Sonic can react to Chaos Control (while being performed in mid-technique) what types of reactions would that give him?

Sonic comments on how "fast" Shadow is after he performs it. Yet you can notice in the cutscene that Sonic was actually turning his head as he was passing him, and then made the comment afterward.

Chaos Control is ab ability that warps both time and space to move at an accelerated speed, so of course my question is as given.

What are the reactions to something like that?
 
Yet another unquantifiable feat, even though Sonic comments on it and has no trouble locating where Shadow went...
