Hyperdimension Neptunia General Discussion 20 Special

So Year 8 then.

I'm assuming Mr. Crosser will be going to Year 10 next year, after looking at his profile.

Great, so I have a lot to look forward to this year since the GCSEs (which are now harder than ever, yay) are just around the corner.

But hey, the upside is that Lex and Buzzkill will die before me. ^^

Here in the UK Middle School lasts til' Year 6.

So weird seeing how different other educational systems are around the world when you've been used to one your whole life...

Guess you are the real lucky bastard here.

Mhm, they tried changing it to last until year 10 but it thankfully got rejected.

Essentially, Buzzkill, it's pretty much irrelevant for you as you're going to be a Uni-Boi.

But, you already knew that, didn't you?

Now, I'm no expert on Post-16 education, but let's see if I can remember some details:

So essentially when you finish Year 11 and have done all your GCSEs, you have 3 options:

A. Go to College, and then go to Uni3 when you've completed college

B. Go to Sixth Form/Further Education College, pretty sure you also go to Uni3 when you're done with that as well

Or C. Just start working

And the way you know where you want to go is by filling out a form near the start of Year 11 detailing where you want to go to do your A Level Subjects.

That's pretty much all I know so far.

@Fellow Chosen

Funny enough, the people think that I'm 14-16 for my look. I'm like my father who is 54 but people think he is 30-40.

You two should be really happy about that.

When people see me they think I'm 18/20. Not far off, and I am a bit proud of it, but still...

The older looks like the yourger? What a joke.

I'm not talking about this moment, you will have to endure it when you reach an older age.

@Lex

If you're old and you look young, what's there not to like?

@Buzzkill

So there are no colleges? What about the A-Levels?

I live in one of the most dangerous cities in the world, looking younger is one of the reason that my life was threatened more than once.

Wait, college and university aren't the same thing?

If anyone in the UK heard you saying that they would think that you're mental... Unless they knew you grew up elsewhere

A-Levels are pretty much GCSEs, but they are far harder but get you a very good presentation when you show them to your future boss. (Unless you're working freelance/self-employed)

Essentially, you need to get an A or an A* (8/9) to pass them, but if you do, this will make trying to find a job a hell of a lot more easier, especially if its under heavy competition by others.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Wasn't aware.

And yes, here in the UK: They're not the same thing. (Although similar but hey, what do I know... I'm only a person that is just about to get into Year 11 in 2 days)
