The Cosmic Imaginatio isn't too happy about Homura changing its concepts, so it's going to do something about it...

2-A versions. Speed equalized. Victory via death or incapitation.

Homura
The Cosmic Imagiation

Who wins and why?

That's a though one. Does the CI have a defense against having its powers drained?

I doubt it does, but it is a living multiverse, so I'm not too sure.

For now, I'm going to vote Homura high difficulty. While it's true that she can't kill the CI, draining it of all its powers like she did to Madoka should be a viable option. Might change it depending on how good CI's causality manipulation is

Could Homura mind and memory manipulate a multiverse to forget and not perceive itself? Kill/minewipe all of its beings?

Homura split the powers of Goddess Madoka as a 2-A and memory haxxed her to the point where she was living her life as a normal girl.

Homura doesn't need to destroy The Cosmic Imagination. I don't see any resistance to memory hax in its profile so it gets memory haxxed and then made to think it's some random normal person while its powers are also drained. End of history.

In other words: Show me the Cosmic Mind avoiding Memory Manipulation and Power Drain that works on a 2-A on the level of Goddess Madoka, or it's done here.

Can you even memory wipe a living Multiverse?

The Cosmic Imagination cannot die if there are still living entities in existence who perceive reality on some level. It's essentially the collective mind, perception and sentience of absolutely everything that ever can or ever will live. Even if everything does somehow die, the Multiverse will come back as it can never truly die.

Homura can't kill it

But she can drain its powers (gaining them in the process), she can rip the "mind" bit out of the "cosmic mind" like she ripped the "madoka" bit out of "goddess madoka" . She can render it a passive essentially brain dead 2-A while she has taken its powers and grown in strength

I'm voting Homura

Can she mind rip on a Multiversal scale, though? The Cosmic Imagination is the total sum of creation given sentience after all. There's no singular part of it that can be attacked, to hurt it, you have to be able to perform the feat over the entire Multiverse.

She mind ripped Madoka, but Madoka had formed an avatar, so maybe not actually

She can perform the entire multiversal feat, yeah but wiht the CI opposing her... hmm

Madoka herself was a concept engraved throughout all the Universe on a 2-A Scale (scans for that are legit on her profile).

If Homura power drained and memory haxxed her, I don't see what's stopping her from doing the same to CI.

I still vote Homura unless the CI has some resistance feats to these two things on the scale of Madoka.

I know she was a mulitversal concept, I'm just saying there was a avatar acting like a conduit or something for Homura to actually target the concept Madoka

Well, if Homura can affect something that is essentially a concept on this scale to the point where it works and does exist in this scale, I assume she can do the same with or without the avatar, otherwise it would have been inconsequential for the kind of existence Madoka had become.

Hence why I see her doing the same to CI.

yes and no, by stopping the avatar (via power drain and split), Homura could become powerful enough to begin her transformation, she doesn't actually interact with the concept untill her dialouge with Kyubey (In which we see the universe itself change which would only happen if Homura messed with it, ie madoka).

Ok, that explanation makes sense

Going with Homura via power drain and removing the "mind" bit of the cosmic mind

Ye just wanted to specify a bit incase someone gets the wrong idea later on.

Homura could also mindhax herself as she did in the Wraith Arc, should she need it to prevent the CI from regaining its powers somehow (which I don't think would happen, but she can do it if she needs to)

Homura has 4 (Kal, Elione, Fate, and Monarch)

CI has 1? (Loyal)

Inconclusive due to high godly regen and immortality on CI (Unless that's drainable) Then I vote for Homura

That might not be correct.

We haven't seen any evidence Madoka is no longer immortal, just that she's lost her powers and been mind haxed
