The contenders for this round are Arlong, submitted by Xanxussama, and SCP-076, submitted by Hl3 or bust.

Extended Canon 076 with the Thorn Restricted is used. Speed is equalized, battle takes place in this training area from MHA at the center, 10 meters away.

Arlong scales to 8 Tons, 076 is 2 Tons or baseline.

Arlong has the better AP but 076 outskills the everloving crap out of him.

It's more a matter of if Arlong can withstand getting smacked around by 076 before he jumps into the water.

With the AP gap Arlong can probably break 076's swords with his teeth if Abel tries to attack his neck/head, so there's that.

I mean, Arlong has a 3x Ap advantage. And he's a fishman, so he can take some punishment. He's not a fool. If he's getting beat, he may very well just go leap in the water and range spam.

@Dargoo If Arlong tries to catch 076's swords in his mouth he gets his head cut in half as his swords almost always have spinning saw blades on them

IDK how the swords would have the oppertunity to get past his teeth considering Arlong's teeth have the same AP as himself.

Even if Abel breaks his teeth they regen.

He has more than enough skill to aim for vital parts and most likely either won't allow Arlong to live long enough to run into some water or tear him up while he's running to water

To be fair Abel is using bladed weapons as opposed to blunt weapons and will strike for vital areas, but yeah, one good hit from Arlong would put him down.

I mean, Arlong also has ranged attacks in that he can flick water at his opponents with great force. Plus, his blade is pretty long from what I can recall.

I think to say that Arlong will not land a single blow is a huge stretch, especially when he has the range advantage. Even a grazing blow can cause some real damage.
