How does Yoshi get past the range advantage and regen?

It's wholly against Cell's character to just snipe an equal opponent. Regen, eating.

Range is still a pretty big advantage, as Yoshi tanking extra hits early puts him at a disadvantage for the rest of the ensuing fight.

Cell also should outskill, what with having everyone he's absorbed and fighting Goku and all.

Doesn't Yoshi have a significant AP advantage? He scales to 9.88 foe while Cell is only High 4-C via scaling from a High 5-A feat which can't reliably get him to even 1 foe. Yoshi should be able to tank pretty much anything Cell throws at him with little damage (Plus he can also slow down time to help him dodge his attacks anyway and close the distance) and then use transmutation via eating Cell to bypass that regen.

I am pretty sure he's High 4-C reverse scaled from him being 4-B in his next key.

Which, I maintain, makes no sense when we consider that Cell is now vastly above baseline 4-B.

I'm 90% sure his reasoning was changed a while back to be from scaling to 1st form Freeza, hence why the + sign was removed from his AP.

Edit: Yeah here's the thread where it was decided to upscale Cell to High 4-C from 1st form Freeza instead of scaling backwards from his Super Perfect form.
