Grappler Baki Discussion Thread

Thanks, i think this was needed for some time now that Grappler Baki has been having more attention

So, what do you guys think of the newest chapter? This fight will probably be one of the most exciting, no doubt

Oou I like this. So boys let's talk. Who's winning, Big Boi Kyogei or The Boi Shibukawa????

Deadass? Shibukawa is literally going to front on the whole stadium and work this man over easily

I watched this YT channel where this guy has read the full Musashi Dou arc storyline. There's also more chapters of the Hanamya stories too.

Deadass so want to look for that site that guy found then cuz holy hell is the ones I go to either slow or aren't updated much if not anymore.

Gaia should have Sound Manip and Status Effect Inducement

Baki should have minor resistance to Soul Manip or/and Death Manip (https://imgur.com/a/eweLiYZ)

Kaku Kaioh should have a "possibly resistance to death manipulation"

I'm following so I can come back here the day I catch up on Baki

I would change Kaku's to limited ressurection, as I don't believe brain function ever stopped, just dialated eyes and organs stop functioning (namely the heart), and Baki to limited soul manipulation, possibly ressurection

Clinical death is the medical term for cessation of blood circulation and breathing.

That includes stopping brain function, i think. And Baki should only get resistance to death manip.

The ability to make the clinical death is. The ability to come back from it is something else.

The reason why I think Baki and Kaku's feats are closer to resurrection than death manipulation resistance or soul manipulation resistance is Gaia doesn't use soul manipulation or death manipulation, he just kills him. Resurrection would come from Kaku coming back to life and Baki coming back after Gaia kills him, and soul manipulation for Baki would come from Baki's soul literally re-entering his body to resurrect him.

It could be Resurrection (via body control + bio manip)

Yeah, but their ressurections can be used to avoid certain types of death manip, and Baki's can be used to resist some types of soul manip too

I mean, that doesn't mean he can control other people's souls. I think it's a stretch to say it's soul manip.

Ahhhhh okay, yeah, as long as an explanation is provided, I think it would be okay to add Resurrection and limited Soul manip to Baki (as well as resistance to soul manip and death manip), and Resurrection and resistance to death manip for Kaku

Oh no, when I say limited Soul Manip, I mean his manip would be limited to his own soul. That should be made note of if added

That just seems really out of place in a series like this. Maybe Baki's spirit has something to do with his Hanma blood since Yuichiro did it too. It could just be some crazy willpower shit. Rather than actually resurrecting himself.

Kaku makes sense I guess cause he did technically die. Yujiro thought he was dead and he would not make a mistake on that.

I agree it's strange and seems out of place considering the grounded approach the series attempts to take, but I honestly have no other explanation besides resurrection. Gaia says he's dead, he does the "Hanma spirit" thing, and he's suddenly alive again

Why is Baki Wall Level if he beated Yasha Zaru who easily killed a bear?

At the very least it should be Small Building, and he also fights Hanayma who is stronger.

Just checking, are we all still okay with resurrection via willpower and sixth sense for Baki and resurrection for Kaku? I can make additions tonight

I am. Let's wait for Amlad and the others.

Baki should also have Analytical Prediction, and so should Gaia.

2 for yes and I'll wait for Am

Everyone also okay with AP for Baki and Gaia? I was actually wondering why Baki didn't have it myself the other day

Remind me of a couple instances where he's showed AP, as do Gaia? I can't seem to recall it, but seems like something he's done before.

Gaia did it in his fight against Baki, Baki has a statement where he says he could easily predict the movements of the martial artists he fought after Gaia and before Yujiro.

Ah.

Never read the original Baki, that's why. I should try and do that, only problem is finding a place that has the full complete story of it.
