I don't remember pokepark ever being brought in a CRT, i have no idea if we treat it as canon or not, but i don't remember any time it was used for something, so there is a possibility that it could be canon but no one bothered bringing it up because no one found anything notable like feats or mechanics

Darkrai is pretty much featless in the games, yeah. Thus, the curse of being event only. ovo
Although, if we go with my reasoning of when the event with Mew is accessed to in Emerald (after sixth gym), then same reasoning can be applied to darkrai, making it scale above third stage 'mons.
Edit: I just realized, this makes Shaymin scale to post-Gym 8 player, who is accepted to scale to creation trio. Damn.

is common for opposite legendaries to be equal, as long as that includes fighting, does cresselia and darkrai fight and stuff

I don't remember any particular feat from Cresselia in-game, tho. And she's accessed more or less at the same time as Darkrai would be (right around 6th gym), no?

They never are stated to fight in the main games Cresselia only gets rid of the nightmares causes Darkrai they only fight in the manga and mystery dungeon according to Bulbapedia.
