Well, in all rounds he only needs to KO Godzilla or make him give up, though I will agree that he could inflict such effects like burning or paralyzing on Godzilla.

Maxwell stomps easily, He can just write gone, and poof, Godzilla vanishes. He can make himself immortal. He can summon the Death character, giving an instant kill on touch.

If he wrote burning, that would only make things worse. Same for exploding, melting, scared (because a scared animal fights viciously) So he may accidentally kill himself. Or Goji could kill him in the time before he opens his notebook.
