iirc it worked on Goetia, who's a type 2 acasual, with type 2 being much better than type 4 for resisting precog

I think he became a Caster to troll Goetia because Goetia was Grand Caster. There was a conversation between them and Gil was saying things like that and that he knows what he truly is, implying that he is no Caster but a Beast.
