Apparently, it's not just the Last Hope that's canon. Apparently the Dark Horse comics and the Barugon manga are canon as well according to the creators.
Iris is also stated to be able to destroy the world, and Gamera is stated to threaten to destroy heaven and Earth. Make of that what you will.

Oh, now that's just depressing. I mean, Death Battle inspired me to dig deeper into Gamera and his franchise.
