For Honor: Invulnerability/Resurrection Removal

Not open for further replies.
Okay. As long as our staff members here accepted them previously, that is probably fine.

I'm just going to briefly revive this to bring up relevant feat calculations that should change things:
Feat Calculations
Tanking grenades

For Honor heroes can take these attacks point blank, though are seriously injured in the process. In contrast, Draconite-infused warriors should theoretically be able to no-sell this (as the Pirate was not around yet, so Gunpowder Surprise is recent) and take no damage whatsoever from the bomb and Fire Flask or the residual Fire Flask damage.

Hmmmmm, those who take serious damage can downscale from it I suppose?

Well "seriously injured" with quotation marks because Gunpowder Surprise isn't as devastating as Fire Flask. Fire Flask is the real party killer. FH heroes are knocked over by Gunpowder Surprise but aren't outright one-shot

I think the durability changes from the explosives changes a lot of things, but we haven't even applied the ability changes which we agreed on

Okay. Please elaborate regarding what has been accepted here please.

Well, what's pending is depending on the agreements on the calcs. Regardless, we might be having Warmonger (and other heroes potentially) at 9-A after.

On what was actually agreed, removing Resurrection and switching with Healing, as well as Invulnerability with Damage Reduction (Shields allowing them to negate damage/add extra protection, and Draconite infusion which just basically allows them to completely no-sell the strongest attacks in the game, which also depends on the above calcs)

Yes. Several things were accepted but applied.
I am not confident in my abilities to edit a page without ******* something up.
Perhaps that is just anxiety speaking, though. Source editing intimidates me somewhat.

@DemonGodMitchAubin @Armorchompy

Would either of you be willing to evaluate this and then tell us here please?

Anyway, somebody can probably apply what has been accepted here, but it would help if you write easy to understand explanations regarding what is left to evaluate.

  • Ability removals and revisions (The changing of Resurrection to Healing, and Invulnerability to Damage Reduction) are accepted and the changes proper are pending
  • The calculations are pending approval and should provide more insight into the specifics of Damage Reduction as it is significant enough to be able to absolutely tank these explosions with no harm on the users of this ability
  • These calculations additionally can also affect the ratings of these heroes, though that's not what is being discussed at the moment

Okay. Thank you for the information.

Given everything, would a 9-B+, possibly 9-A upgrade be possible to add to changes when the calcs are accepted? I know FinePoint and I are the only supporters so this thread can be used to implement other related changes, just a proposal is all.

That seems fine to me at least.

Also given I've had time to think about it, I think Tiandi's Indomitable ability is a lot more like a kind of second wind ability that gives him the ability to survive, not unlike a Barbarian from DnD, so I don't think Damage Reduction works. I'm thinking something along the lines of some ability that allows one to survive blows that are typically lethal and fight still when on critical health, though I couldn't really find anything like that besides Type 2 Immortality (which would obviously be too much)

Okay. Maybe you can just give a brief description of the ability in his stamina section, if we have no powers page that fits well.

See here for editing instructions:

Okay. I will try to apply the accepted changes later.
I have been busy lately, but I'll try to find time later tonight.

I'm fine with Tiandi's Indomitable ability being extra stamina, since it basically buffs their health on the verge of death, and we commonly equate HP to stamina on the wiki I believe.

Given its synergy with his Life Leech ability, Tiandi can enter into it multiple times and basically is way harder to kill than typical For Honor heroes, who already can tank wounds and still fight like nothing is happening. This can also just be Statistic Amplification because Tiandi is allowed to fight longer by gaining a little more second wind to survive more blows before dying.

I removed Invulnerability, replaced Resurrection with Healing, and moved Tiandi's ability to their stamina section.
Hopefully I did it right.

I held off on making the new key because It's late and I'm extra scared of ******* that part up at the moment, but also because there's a calculation pending I believe.

Okay so I'm going to summarize the remaining things that need changing:
  • Changing of For Honor Heroes' ratings to reflect 9-B+, possibly 9-A from tanking explosives
  • Adding Preparation to Warmonger+Astrea and a key for Draconite Infusion

So is somebody here willing to handle that?

Okay. That is probably fine then. Feel free to do so.

Okay. Thank you for helping out.

Tell us here when you are done.

Thank you for helping out. Should I close this thread then?

Okay. I will do so. Thank you to everybody who helped out here.
