Just shouldn't make the match then, spiderman wins via martial arts, webs, range etc. Just don't think it is fair to neutralise the flash's source of power.

Same could go for any other speedster. Flash, Archie/Game Sonic, Quicksilver, etc. All of their matches have speed equalized.

Spidey FRA

Surely if you put a guy like flash against a being of more durability without speed equalized then it would be fair, wouldn't it be that the speed difference would sort of close the ap gap to some extent?

I know speed equalization gives Spider-Man an upper hand, but how good is Flash's Dura negation here?

I think we just disregard speed and allow speed-based powers to remain.
The problem is that if Flash hits Spiderman at normal speed, it will not do anything to him.

To balance it you would have to make Flash stronger.

Flash depends on his speed for his attack power, so equaling speeds does not make sense.

In cases like this, we just pretend that the attacks work the same way regardless of speed in order to allow matches to remain fair.

Spiderman stomps anyway.
