How does Kazuma usually start matchups and fight in general because Peter could just web him to a wall and that'd be the fight over

I'm not sure, but Kazuma prefers h2h.

Spider-Man has an AP and LS advantage (just going off of base stuff), though I think Kazuma has the combat skill advantage. Peter's definitely grown better than his early self, who easily stomped Winter Soldier and Falcon at the same time. But Kiryu's a much faster learner (shown with how easily he masters techniques) and tends to fight much more skilled opponents that are hailed as some of the best assassins and martial artists on the planet (such as how Kiryu dominated a guy who dedicated his entire life to mastering every single form of combat known to man)

It’s more likely that Spider-Man’s gonna try webbing him before he goes for any physical attacks. That along with his much greater mobility would definitely pose a threat to Kiryu

Depends on what version of Kiryu, like if he has Rush style that could probably help him. Same with using Dragon Spirit which is basically a super amp to his speed which allows him to zip around the place. That's assuming this is Yakuza 5 Kiryu that allows him to use Dragon Spirit.

The recent Yakuza game, while technically turning Kazuma into a slave of Daidoji Faction, gives something which would greatly affect the match as Kiryu has gadgets such as web swing ripoff.

I think Spider-Man has literally no shot at winning in close quarters, the issue is that if he realizes this Kiryu's options to combat web spam are very limited

Well there are his amps for speed, like the aforementioned Dragon Spirit and Rush style. Dragon Spirit also sort of makes him impervious, so take that how you will.
