Fire Emblem Discussion thread: New Forum, New Mystery of the Emblem

I made a few additions to Anna's powers and abilities, mainly the addition of her learnable spells in Three Houses. Hope this doesn't cause any problems.

We do not have a Three Houses Anna page, and the current Awakening/Fates Composite is already bad enough

It really shouldn't be, no...

We frown on composites in the first place, but most Annas aren't even the "same person, just a new incarnation" that's used to justify some composites. Basically every Anna we've met is their own unique individual.

I think it came from a botched google search where the engine somehow assumed Lucina was the main antagonist but putting here in the little square for the character preview whenever you look up a well known show.

I don't see why they would be separate, as Heroes is basically, if not already canon at this point. Would be easier just to put them in a single page.

I agree, FEH is considered part of the main canon. I was just worried about pages being cluttered

also, this is off topic, but I realized Gatekeeper is one of the strongest characters in Nintendo AP wise since I think Pokemon no longer has their busted 380 million x baseline 2-A AP

Oh yeah, infinite times baseline is kind of a lowball btw, given the whole infinite dreams thing, potentially going even further with the fact that people created in the dream also state that they also dream.

Infinite Worlds of Each Game and Route, their dreams, and even the dreams had within those dreams, so on and so on

Well, Heroes cast kind of creates pseudo composites albiet it is canon to the multiverse yeah. So, I'm with JSW that new profiles are preferred.

I mean even if we do create separate profiles for the Heroes versions, well we would run into the same problem of it being a "psuedo composite". Unless we want to create a profile for each alt, which, well would easily reach into the hundreds range, and would honestly just be easier just to combine it into a single profile due to all of them "technically" still being the same person. (I mean most of them are just "X character" but participating in a festival)

Creating different profiles honestly just seems like so much more unnecessary work than is needed, since I'm pretty sure profiles like these are allowed.

I'd prefer heroes and main continuity profiles separate, personally, especially in the context of characters who have appeared in multiple entries. Technically speaking, there's nothing wrong about having them in the same profile, but having a separate Heroes profile also just makes it easier to include relevant versions and alts. Not to mention we don't have to jump through a CRT just to include the Heroes versions of every hero.

I'm personally okay with pseudo-composites but they need to be made with a profile for the game that actually has them. Much like how there are profiles where there are characters with alt versions/other versions as keys, there are profiles where even characters in the same continuity can end up being on separate profiles like Kratos or Asta, and I just personally prefer the latter.

If everyone would prefer that, then I guess Heroes profiles would be fine. But I'm opposed to making a page for each alt. Though, I would like to put a note at the end saying that Heroes is an official mainline game to prevent any confusion, and a link at the end that redirects to their original profile.

Technically, more often than not, alts are from a different universe entirely, so I imagine we will have to make separate profiles on occasion. Male and Female Corrin, both Adrift versions, for example. Also Brave Heroes, being a representation of said character rather than the "real" thing

A note explaining that FEH is, indeed, canon would be fine, given that most people actually believe otherwise

On occasion, maybe. But I doubt it's always necessary, as despite being from a different universe, there aren't enough differences for them to warrant their own profile, when they are the exact same character otherwise. Like, Spring Xander or anyone with a festival alt really.

Characters who are just "X but here or there" being on the same profile is fine in most cases, yeah. Certain cases, like Bride Cordelia, would probably warrant a new profile entirely due to being in a universe where she's just in what's "normal warrior attire", but things like "Halloween Dorcas" would be fine on the regular "Dorcas (Fire Emblem Heroes)" profile.

This would also mean a new FEH Anna profile would be necessary for Apotheosis Anna (FEH)

It would be fine to just put their Legendary forms in their main heroes profiles right? As the Legendary Heroes are essentially just future versions of the characters.
