@Triforce, the teacher is young enough to marry students though. And there are also LGBT relationships to be had. Though, mostly female on female ones; there's three male characters to have S-Class support with, but only one of them comes out as romantic.

Byleth is about 21 by the start of the game, and 26 thanks to time-skip, so I think they end up in a pretty comfortable age for marrying the characters once things start getting romantic.

...I'd explain how we know Byleths age but, like, all the importaint dates in the game are MASSIVE spoilers. Just take my word for it that once you figure out the timeline Byleth's canon age isn't that hard to figure out.

Am I the only person who wasn't much of a fan of her?
Probably not, but it seems like she's a fairly popular non-house character. The students still seem to be everyone's main favorites, first.

The part about Three Houses is that I can't think of a single character who is bad. Everyone you either love, or love to hate depending on the route and not spoiling anyone in particular. And there are also a whole bunch of characters you feel sorry for depending on the situation; again not spoiling it. Let's just say Three Houses really executed the classic death route so well to the point where it's really not for the faint of heart.

I can think of a few characters that I'd call bad for undeveloped reasons, at least.

There were a few that just didn't end up doing anything even though the game tried to make them look importaint, you could probably remove them from the game and no one would even notice. I'm not sure if that makes them bad or that they just didn't get a chance.

...Not sure I can mention them either for spoiler reasons.

Definition like that sounds more like just okay rather than bad. At the very least, I really love every single Black Eagle's character. I'm still working on Edelgard's route, but will probably do Claude's route next. I do have a second file saved to do Rheas, but felt like doing hers last. Plus, I may prefer to keep New Game+ bonuses.

@ChocomilkAlex, someone could probably make a sandbox for him/her; we're just still collecting feats to scale to the cast.

Gatekeeper is, clearly, best character. Best character of the franchise. He is peak Husbando material.

We're still a little on the fence when it comes to scaling, there's a few things some of us only hear second hand and have been having troubles finding screencaps for, so we're a little unsure where Byleth and the gang are going to end up.

No doubt at least Town Level feats though (Thank you, Meteor), so there's no harm starting there and working our way up?

I tried to make a CRT post for her, but my laptop dies before I could hit Control+C. All I know is that she has Time manipulation, Spacial manipulation and BFR resistance.

Dark, I wouldnt really say we're collecting feats, we know what feats matter, and we know how ti find em. Someone just has to calc em, and I cant calc could parting so, uh ye. I already linked the javelin feats with time stamp though. If someone wants to do that.

I'm actually against scaling to meteor, not because I disagree but because ive seen some users get real pissy over cross universe scaling, even if it's technically the exact same thing. Im for it but if it cant apply to other things then I aint gonna play favorites with it.

Town should still be a thing though from the javelins maybe? Scaling actually seems straight forward with a few exceptions like Lysithea and a few other outlier units.

It's also preferable to fine scans for the feats, and most of the other characters could also scale from some of the regular storm feats among other things that appear numerous in Three Houses. As in the videos will need specific timestamps when the profiles and/or blogs get made. And of course, the calculations should yield pretty good results. GIFs would be even better yes.

Scans? What do you mean? It's all up on yt? We dont really gotta find anything, it's all there for us to see.

I could just download the videos, and cut out the specific sections that actually matter so we dont gotta link hour long videos. Also gifs are always cool to have on profiles.

Frankly, in my opinion, it's the same spell, with the same flavor, and the same animation over and over again in the same franchise. I know it's not fully my decision to make, but it's certainly good enough for me with how often Fire Emblem reuses these spells.

Not sure on the javelins though, and how good of a direct comparison they'll be. It took a whole bombardment to wipe out a fort town, and the whole thing was framed like no one could survive that. And I think the only direct interaction between a javelin with a character is when *COUGH COUGH* which makes me question who all would even get scaling off that. Ceratainly high tiers, but everyone else? Not so sure...

...Of course, cloud parting is always a thing, so the inpact damage might not even matter and all my worries are tossed right out the window. That's also entirely possible, I always lowball these situations. So I'll happily wait for a calc Because I'd royally screw up the calc, I know I would

I mean I aint the person that disagrees with that. Im fine with it, but i need confirmation that we can in fact cross universe scale as a wiki standard first.

I thought it only took one to nuke the fort? With a total of two dropping. You aint wrong, but a handful of the relics would scale for obvious reasons.

Cloud parting is probably gonna be above the explosion.

The cutscene showed a javelin dropping twice, but I'm pretty sure that judging by the lack of damage to the city during the second shot, they probably only launched one.

I could've sworn that it was 'multiple pillars of light' or something along those lines when the characters described what they were seeing. Though it's entirely possible I'm remembering wrong. I don't know if its a spoiler but the Javilins knocking out the fort town plays out two differant ways depending on routes...possibly more, I need to play every route still. So it's possible they fire differant numbers of them between routes?

I need to make sure to document my runs better so that all this debate isn't just me paraphrasing from memory, it's doing us no good for moving things along...

Cloud Parting always does seem to, doesn't it? I'm always blown away by the numbers we get from cloud calcs...

Not always. In case of Fire Emblem, the energy used in storms is interchangeable with other spells in the franchise. It's also interchangeable with the striking strength and durability of weapon wielders as they consistently trade blows with the mages.

Say is 3 Houses or even Heroes a good place to start? I've been thinking of getting a switch for a while now. The Japanese and English versions of Seasons of Warfare won me over.

Not really. I wouldnt recommend as your introduction. Despite all the controversy Awakening is still a good place to begin and is friendly but gives you what you need to know eve if the waifu shit is kinda sus (although not like awakening even began that, that's from FE4). I wouldnt even go and do 3H next, that's like a third or fourth game.

It's actually quite easy to get into. Sure the structure is different from other FE games and some of the strategic standards are different. But the game does provide tutorials and all that to help you get started. And there's the casual mode if needed; Three Houses was also the first time hardcore gamers actually appreciated Classic Mode. And just a heads up, FE7 was my first game in the series.

It's easy to get into, that's not exactly the issue. The issue is you should probably start with anything but that because it'll be hard to go back and play the early games after playing 3H.

My first was fe4, then I think 8.

Hmm, I see what you mean; a lot of first timers are probably going to be using class promotions too early and miss out on extra level ups in previous games. It's not like Three Houses which is the first game to have unlimited level ups.

I mean going back is very archaic. Awakening is the cross between classic and new. You can go forward and back with little issue from that if you actually end up liking it. Plus it has casual and has vbes from both types of games.

Only game that may be hard to play after it is FE4 (holy war, different type of gameplay) and the first game and gaiden (aged a lot but echoes a thing).

Yeah, the Famicom ones haven't aged the best. Kind of met the same fate as the original Star Fox, Metroid, and Dragon Quest games. But at least remakes are huge improvements; especially Echoes,

I can play og metroid still. And star fox, but star fox is mostly due to it being extremely short finishing it befoe it's age becomes a issue. Havent play much dq in general though. The best thing from classic famicom emblem is duma's map theme so use that as the benchmark.

Actually, what's everyone's favorite FE characters? Like overall, top 5 or so?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying any of those games are bad. They're still classics. I meant it is common for a lot of old games to go from a 9 or 10 out of 10 to a 7 or 8 out of 10. Didn't age quite as much as games like various games that are still 10 out of 10 like Super Metroid or various Zelda classics.

And there are some things I like about the original, like it did have the most realistic portrayal of how Falchion was meant to be OP compared to everyone else.

I know what you meant, I agree. If I wasnt such a huge metroid fan I wouldnt even look at og metroid. It's aged a lot, and with zero, no reason to even think of playing it. I was only going on about how I can play it still, it was actually a bit of a flex.

Super is almost a perfect game.

As for favorite characters, I think my favorite is probably still Marth. I know it sounds very classic, but like many other original Western FE fans; Marth was my favorite character in Smash Bros and was the main reason I wanted to know what game he originated from. Then we got multiple FE games that didn't even have Marth or Roy; though we got Roy's dad in FE7. Then we finally got Shadow Dragon later on. While it wasn't the best FE game, I still really loved Marth's character. He was like a natural born leader, but at the same time had some kind of childhood innocence and kind heart. I'm too tired to write in depth reasoning, but I will say I really like him for his Christ imagery.

And there are plenty of FE characters whom I really like and can't think of a particular order; Ike, Hector, Lucina is also upthere despite the controversies surrounding her. And a whole bunch of characters from Three Houses also get ranked up pretty high.

Oh! Favorite FE character time! My favorite!

My number one is Tiki, but especially Awakening Tiki. I think she's grown up quite a lot and matured in a lot of interesting ways ever since her first appearance. She's sort of a celebrity and holy figure, but would prefer to be modest and be 'normal'. She's lived for several thousand years and has outlived almost everyone she's ever known, but does her best to keep pushing forward. And because of her 'wise outside, kid on the inside' kind of attitude we great a great mix of her being silly and playful like the old days, but also more serious touching moments as well. It also helps that she actually got a handful of supports instead of being locked to 'Robin and only Robin' like the other characters post-Act 1 and was already established from previous games.

Another favorite of mine is Rennac from Sacred Stones. The whole L'Arachel gang cracks me up, but Rennac is one of the funniest 'straight man' characters I've seen. The poor guy just can't catch a break, can't be taken seriously by anyone, and just doesn't want to be here in the first place (Best example? When you're fighting the final boss, the big bad demon king that towers over every character, all the other characters have inspiring oneliners...Rennac on the other hand? "Come on...you can't be serious!") He's just a really nice change of pace from a lot of the heroic characters we get, a guy who's only here to get paid and even then doesn't want to do his job.

And now Shamir from Three Houses, she really took me by surprise. At first I wasn't sure I'd really like her all that much, she's rough around the edges when you interact with her in the monastery. But once I recruited her just to add to my headcount, I started using her more and more and she really grew on me with how much she opened up, how surprisingly sweet she could be to Byleth and Catherine (with mixing snark in), and how quickly I wanted her to keep talking about her backstory and herself.

Rapid fire for ones I don't have as much to talk about: Legion, hilariously weird, super simple guy, interesting gimmick all makes him a memoriable minor boss (He's so unique, we should make a profile for him some day). Knoll, I just can't help but feel bad for him, he's like a kicked puppy of a dark mage. Noire, very similar to Knoll, I just feel awful for her, and Awakening turns her suffering into a punchline, it just makes me feel bad. Eirika, Sacred Stones was my first FE, she's my first lord, I've got a personal bias for her now. Laegjarn, Laevatein, Helbindi, and Eir from Heroes...Never thought I'd be compelled by mobile game characters, but since Book 2 I've been liking the original cast more and more, Book 2 in particular is when I liked Heroes original cast most, Muspell for some reason had some of the most sympathetic cast members yet for me (Especially Helbindi, I didn't think I was going to like him as much as I did), and of course the Annas, I just can't not like the Annas.

...There's a bunch I like but these are the ones that stood out that I felt I had enough to talk about.

Well ****, I wasnt expecting huge paragraphs. I dont got any huge detail explanation ready, I was just gonna list off who I liked...
