Just watched the Natsu vs Ace Death Battle. Good lord that was awful

Death Battle dropped off hard after Torrian stopped animating their fights. DB has some genuine bangers but nowadays almost all of their shit is mid, with a few exceptions. Popeye vs Saitama was cool though

They've still had some solid ones.
Dr. Doom vs Lex Luthor is one of my favorites, and whoever played Doom nailed it.
Also She-Ra vs Wonder Woman had great music and action.
Seasons 4 and 5 were painfully mediocre (although Season 5 did have Ultron vs Sigma which rocked along with the spectacular Darkseid vs Thanos, and even though Vergil vs Sephiroth wasn't exactly finale material the sword fighting was still sick).
Dedede vs Wario was so f*cking funny.

And technically, since they were only using X791 Natsu (since the X792 arc hadn't been released at that point), Ace should've won by quite the landslide.

The Goku vs Superman 2 fight itself was fantastic up until the end. The scene in the canyon when Goku goes Blue was genuinely some of the best Dragon Ball action I've ever seen

Sabertooth hardly even exists at this point. Same with Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus. And they had characters that had things going for them. Would have been nice if like 10 guild members from all of them went in on the quest together.

I felt like 2nd Origin had no build up at all and was more of a plot device to grant Team Natsu their cheap power up to make up for 7 years of lack of training
That's why in the AU I am writing, Ultear isn't going to open it for them. Instead they will train to unlock it naturally for the 3 months they have. And yes they WILL have 3 months because the CSK isn't going to pull his stupid prank in this one

- Rufus was hyped up with his Memory Make during "Hidden" then just became irrelevant getting clapped by Gray
- Orga was hyped as Laxus potential rival and the 2nd introduced God Slayer only to get one shot by Jura and never do anything again
- Yukino was just used to hype Kagura
- Sting and Rogue had the constant hype of supposedly killing Dragons, being Natsu and Gajeel's rivals etc only to get solo stomped by BASE NASTU. Not even LFDM smh

- Minerva was the only one to deliver and only lost due to plotza power

Mitch, we all love the show, but it has flaws, just like everything else. The reason why I'm so frustrated with the show and some of the decisions it makes is because of how much I ******* adore Fairy Tail.
