Fabula Nova Overhaul: Final Fantasy Hax Revision

This took quite a while to make so I hope it's not too bad. Here's some music to listen to as you read.

Without further ado. Here we go

Note: While this revision is primarily focused on the Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy, this will subsequently affect Type-0 as well, due to them being apart of the same Universe and Cosmology, just taking place on different "worlds". I've also used a few scans from previous revision threads to speed up the process. Also special thanks to Tartachocolate, HST_Master and Zer00Negativo for their input and advice.

  • Final Fantasy XIII:

The first game in the series, their isn't too much going on here in terms of powers, at least not stemming from the game specifically. However there are a couple of noteworthy things to add onto this game. Most if being scaled from previous Final Fantasy entries however with a few additions the game put it's spin on.


(The Party) L'Cie's:

L'Cie's are humans that are cursed by Machine Deity's known as Fal'Cie, with a brand. This L'Cie brand known as Eidolith's allows people to cast Magic by drawing on their inner Crystal Power. In the Fabula Nova Crystalis lore, Crystals represent Souls, Divinity, and the Origin of Magic. Which serves as a direct correlation back to the early Final Fantasy games (1-6) where crystals were series' staples. Hajime Tabata, the director of Type-0 even confirms that this sub-series is based on the established Crystal Legend of the first 6 games. Which means Magic should have Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2), Space-Time Manipulation, Law Manipulation, and Subjective Reality. As per a previous revision, Magic now have these additional properties. Characters from Type-0 have already inherited these haxes on their profiles, so this would naturally apply to FFXIII as well. This would also grant resistance to Magic, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2), Space-Time Manipulation, Law Manipulation and Subjective Reality (For naturally being able to resist the effects of Magic which have these properties). They should also receive passive protective Fate Manipulation as the Goddess Etro rescued the remaining the party from their fates as L'Cie's, which was to turn to crystal upon completion of their focus. This would mean The Goddess Etro protected and them and changed their fates to prevent incapacitation and death)


Additional missing haxes due to magic (Previous Final Fantasy's): Non-Physical Interaction (Magic as a whole is shown to affect a wide variety of different beings, from intangible/immaterial beings to non corporeal beings, to abstract concepts like Chronodia, who's the flow of time itself, to Nonexistent beings like Exdeath and Cloud of Darkness), Matter Manipulation: (Sub-Atomic; Both Fire and Blizzard spells and their higher levels are stated to affect the electrons of the targets to create fire or ice, with the latter being capable of bypassing durability in the process), Power Modification (Including Duplication, Fusionism, Statistics Amplification, Size Manipulation, Homing Attack, Danmaku, Aura, Breath Attack, and Energy Manipulation; Magic users across the games have consistently shown the ability to manipulate the shape and properties of their own magical abilities), Durability Reduction (Magic ignores durability to physical attacks requiring specific resistances to reduce the damage of), Forcefield Negation and Intangibility (Magic negates conventional physical durability, barriers, and armor, requiring specific defense against magic which is powered by the mind and spirit), Poison Manipulation and Corrosion Inducement (The Poison spell and status effect is stated to corrode the target), and Earth Manipulation (via Quake)


FFXIII specific: Information Analysis (via Libra), Pain Manipulation and minor Power Nullification (Via Pain: The "Pain" spell inflicts the "Pain" ailment which causes one to be unable to use physical capabilities), Purification Type 3 (via Esunaga), Limited Empathic Manipulation (Via Provoke and Charge: Causes enemies to target you), Instinctive Action and Damage Boost (via Vendetta), Power Nullification: (Via Fog and Fogga: Disables an enemies spell casting capabilities), Curse Manipulation and minor Probability Manipulation: (via Curse which lowers the target's odds of interrupting actions), Damage Reduction (via Fringeward), Limited Immortality (Type 2 via Reprieve; A passive ability that allows one to survive a fatal blow with 1 HP remaining), minor Power Modification and Elemental Manipulation (via Enfire, Enthunder, Enwater and Enfrost; Can cause basic attacks of any role to have elemental attributes), Statistics Reduction (via Debrave and Defaith), and Resistance Reduction (Via Deprotect, Deshell, and Imperil; Lowers and enemy's physical, magical and elemental resistances)

Eidolons: Passive Empathic Manipulation (Odin's Role is a Sentinel which draws enemy attacks towards him and away from Lightning), Forcefield Creation and Damage Reduction (via Ullr's Shield) Lightning Manipulation (via Lightning Strike, and Thunderfall), Durability Negation and Space-Time Manipulation (Odin's Zantesuken Technique can open a rift in Space-Time to take the remains of a foe), Elemental Resistance Negation (via Penetration: Ignores an enemies elemental resistance when attacking), and Inorganic physiology (This incarnation of Odin is Mechanical), Death Manipulation (All Eidolons can cast the Death Spell), Holy Manipulation (via Alexander; Hope Exclusive summon), Matter and Radiation Manipulation (via Bahamut's Mega Flare; Fang Exclusive Summon). Automatic Resurrection (via Arise; Revives the summoner to full health upon death/incapacitation. However, the Eidolon will disappear afterwards)This will also result in the creation of profiles for the rest of the XIII cast that don't have them such as Hope, Fang, Vanille, Sazh, etc.

Overall gained Resistances to: Magic, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2), Space-Time Manipulation, Law Manipulation, and Subjective Reality (Can resist the effects of Magic, which have these properties), Fire Manipulation, Ice Manipulation, and Matter Manipulation (Sub-Atomic; Can resist these elements, Fire and Blizzard spells and their higher levels are stated to affect the electrons of the targets to create fire or ice, with the latter being capable of bypassing durability in the process), Lightning Manipulation, Wind Manipulation, Earth Manipulation, Water Manipulation (Capable of resisting these elements with Raijin, Nerid, Sylphid and Gaian Rings), Absolute Zero (Scaled from Snow Villiers who can fight the Shiva sisters. His magic also has Shiva's properties), Mind Manipulation, Death Manipulation (Via Seraph's Crown), Poison Manipulation and Corrosion Inducement (Can resist the Poison spell and status effect, which is also stated to corrode the target), Pain Manipulation, Empathic Manipulation, Power Nullification, Curse Manipulation and minor Probability Manipulation, Status Effect Inducement, Statistics Reduction, Resistance Reduction (The party able to resist all of these status effects, and further amplify resistance with the "Veil" spell.) and Data Manipulation (Capable of surviving in Eden. Which can materialize data into physical matter) These resistances should carry over to XIII-2 characters and LR

  • Final Fantasy XIII-2:

Here's where things really heat up. This is the most note-worthy game when it comes to these overall revisions and where the Fabula Nova Crystalis lore really kicks in. This game introduces a tons of different elements that would define the rest of the series' story, and most importantly hax. Though some of this will apply to the original game.


Magic

According to the Datalog, Magic was once a power exclusive to L'Cie's, however after the migration to Pulse, some citizens of Cocoon have suddenly developed the ability to wield magic. This is because all Civilians had crystal energy already within them. This is why Serah is able to utilize magic. These events stem from the ending of the first game. When Cocoon nearly crashed into Pulse. Crystal energy mixed into the soil of the earth Which is why none of the original cast lose their magic power.

Chaos

Chaos is the biggest story element going forward for the rest of these games. Though what is Chaos exactly? "Chaos" is a substance originating from a place known as Valhalla. In the Datalog, Chaos is described as an "Existence-defying darkness" that defies and removes the the laws of the physical world. It also acts as source of power, separate from that of traditional magic which can grant abilities not usually seen from it. Chaos was granted to people a goddess which formed humanity's core essence. Chaos exists in all points of Space-Time and can reach across different dimensions which include the Visible world, The Historia Crux (Which consists of multiple different timelines), Valhalla, and The Unseen Realm, even going as far as to merge The Visible World and everything else together. This would in turn upgrade the range of anyone who uses Chaos to at least Interdimensional.

Etro

Etro is a big part of the overall Mythos of Fabula Nova Crystalis but just who was this mythical figure? In short, Etro is one of the three Goddesses created by a deity known as Bhunivelze, the other two were known as Pulse and Lindzei. The other two Goddesses where creating worlds of their own while Etro watched over Valhalla. Bhunivelze disliked Etro because she bared a striking resemblance to his mother, and thus had granted her no special power of her own. Desperate for his affection, Etro cut her own body open, Lindzei using her spilled blood to physically form the species we know as Humanity. Despite her weakened state, Etro grew fond of the new species born of her, and thus implanted humans with Chaos. The chaos created their core essence, which ultimately became their...

Hearts and Souls

Due to the Nature of the Fabula Nova Crystallis' lore, Hearts and Souls are fundamentally different from the traditional Hearts and Souls we know. There are issues in this regard however, as the English localization states that the two are one in the same, however in different localizations they're described to be separate, but linked entities. With the "Heart" in essence act as a "Warehouse" for the "Soul". The difference between the two is that Hearts are "The Essence of a Person" essentially what makes that individual unique, whereas the soul is "The Essence of Humanity" which means what makes them human. However the name "Soul" in this context is slightly misleading, it's more accurately described as one's idea or concept. They also define existence itself. While localizations classify the two as being different, one thing they both have in common is that both the Heart and the Soul are made up of the "unseen chaos". The Goddess Etro had bestowed mankind with Chaos which formed their Hearts and Souls and is stated to make the visible universe whole. The soul is said to embody both everything and nothing, with beings that exist in their astral form simultaneously exist and don't exist. As a side note, the reason why it's also called "Unseen Chaos" is because "God" cannot see it, which is why he cannot see into Human Hearts. Though they also go by another name...

Phantoma

This is the name given to the life essence of characters in the game Final Fantasy: Type-0. Although it's named differently, it has the same function as a "Soul" in the Fabula Nova lore, with Phantoma's being an amalgamation of Hearts, Souls, and Chaos all fused into one. This in turn would upgrade Ace's Regeneration, Healing and Regen Negation (From Low-Godly to High Godly). It's also worth noting that after being freed from Bhunivelze's control, Serah was able to regenerate from her "Soul". I am unsure if this would qualify the Soul in general for Regeneration of this kind since "Souls" and Phantoma have the same function, as well as originating from the same place. If they do however, then Regeneration will be added.

The Unseen Realm
Is also known as The Invisible World. This is where this substance known as Chaos used to form one's Hearts and Souls originates from. The Unseen Realm is Non-Existent in nature. Lacking form and is perfect Chaos incarnate.

Valhalla
It's stated that Valhalla acts as a sort of middle ground between the human world (The World of FFXIII) and the "Unseen Realm". Unlike the traditional universe it's stated multiple times to be a Timeless Void. In the "Fragments Before" Novel. Valhalla is also stated to mess up one's senses. It's also where the Goddess Etro watched over mankind

Etro's Gate
Etro's Gate (Also known as the door of souls) is a gateway to the afterlife in this universe. it passively operated by the goddess Etro's existence. When a human dies, their soul turns into crystal energy and returns to the unseen realm, passing through Etro's Gate to be reborn anew. It also acts as a barrier between the rest of the cosmology and the world of the living. As long as the goddess Etro lives, Etro's Gate is operational. However should the goddess die, the balance between the worlds would collapse and merging it all into one. It's also worth noting that The Normal World (The regular universe), Valhalla, Etro's Gate and the Unseen Realm all operate on various different concepts of Space-Time and Form. Ranging from being ambiguous to being Non-Existent in nature.

Paradoxes

The second most important element to this game behind Chaos. The story revolves around Sarah Farron and new protagonist Noel Kriess going to various periods to correct these paradoxes. As the name implies, Paradoxes are anomalies that cause something that isn't normally able to be possible to exist. While it isn't directly stated. It's heavily implied that Paradoxes are a side effect of Chaos itself, as Noel confirms that something from Valhalla created them, and Chaos is referred to as a Paradoxical Energy. Paradoxes are also said to transcends time. Since Paradoxes are tied to Chaos and Chaos forms the Heart and Soul, if accepted this would grant a form of Higher-Dimensional Manipulation.

Guardians

These are warriors who wield the power of Chaos to protect a seeress. Two candidates are known to remain, that being Caius Ballad and Noel Kriess. Caius Ballad is the one "True" Guardian since only one is permitted to exist at a time. In order to become one, someone must kill the current Guardian and take his position. In this universe, true "Death" means complete destruction of the Heart and Soul. This about does it for new elements of this game. Due to the fact that their are verse specific powers stemming from the Heart, Soul, and Chaos, I've decided to make a dedicated page for it for the Fabula Nova Crytallis characters (XIII & Type-0). Here is what I came up with.


Unseen Chaos Physiology (Final Fantasy: Fabula Nova Crystallis)


Hearts:

Abstract Existence (Type 2): The Soul acts as the very idea of someone and they define existence itself, with the Heart acting as it's "Warehouse" and is linked to the Soul. Jihl Nabaat confirms that Hearts themselves are not material. Every heart is implanted with "Chaos" which a substance originating from Valhalla and makes up the Unseen Realm and acts as the force that makes the world complete.

Time Travel and Dimensional Travel (Non-Combat Applicable): Those who have an affinity for Chaos are able to utilize time gates to travel into a Dimension called the "Historia Crux" which connects to every timeline in Final Fantasy XIII

Precognition and Retrocognition: Those with Chaos can utilize the Eyes of Etro which are able to have visions across every period

Sealing, Summoning, and Animal Manipulation: Controlling Monsters is done by sealing defeated foes into crystals and calling them forth into battle when necessary. Though the enemy must be in a defeated/vulnerable state in order to seal.

Extrasensory Perception: People with abundant chaos in their hearts are sensitive to things others miss: such as the prophecies of the seeress, the voices of the dead, and are drawn to both the visible and invisible worlds, while other beings are tied only to one world with the other being inaccessible.

Cosmic Awareness: Through the use of the Eyes of Etro, Serah was able to witness Lightning and Caius' fight in Valhalla, as well as Noel's arrival through the Historia Crux

Added Weakness: Every time someone uses the Eyes of Etro, their lifespan greatly shortens. Lost and Fragmented Hearts can also cause one to lose their sense of emotion with no recollection beyond the memories of them.


Souls:

Same as Hearts plus Unconventional Immortality (Types 1, 4, 5, 8, and 9): When a human dies, their soul turns into crystal energy and returns to the unseen realm, passing through Etro's Gate to be reborn anew. The soul is also eternal and can exist as long as people in the living remember them. It's stated that whatever Chaos infects loses it's life, death, and time.

Regeneration (High Godly): No longer under Bhunivelze's control, Serah was able to regenerate from her "Soul". The Rursus are stated to be able to regenerate so long as their Phantoma is still intact

Acausality (Type 4): Chaos originates from Valhalla, which along with the Invisible World and Etro's Gate operate on different Concepts of Space-Time and Form ranging from it being Non-Existent, to it being ambiguous. It's also an energy source that resides within all humans' Hearts and Souls, which can defy the laws of the physical world, and exists in all points of space and time.

Nonexistence Physiology (Nature Type 3; Aspect Types 1 and 2): The soul is said to embody both everything and nothing, with beings that exist in their astral form simultaneously exist and don't exist. The soul is also made of and infused with Chaos which have various different concepts of Space-Time and Form, ranging from being ambiguous to being Non-Existent. Paradoxes are a side effect of Chaos. Which Hope describes as a phenomena that transcends time.


Chaos:

Space-Time Manipulation: The Chaos was responsible for damaging the fabric of Space-Time in the universe when Etro's Seal was broken. Eliminating 2 hours from the Universe's time.

Darkness Manipulation, Chaos Manipulation, Void Manipulation, and Existence Erasure: Chaos in it of itself is described as an Existence Defying Darkness that throws the world into Disorder. It's been stated to remove the time from the universe, and and the people who live in it. As well as distorting one's very existence, meaning it can affect the Heart and Soul. White and Peral Phantoma are also described as energy of the Void.

Probability Manipulation: Paradoxes are able to make things that aren't able to be possible come into existence. Paradoxes are a side effect of Chaos which originate from Valhalla. Valhalla is a realm that gives birth to Infinite Possibilities, and beings such as Caius Ballard are capable of erasing all possibilities

Power Nullification: Caius Ballad shot Lightning in the chest with a Chaos Blast. Lumina described this effect as the Savior being in danger of losing her powers.

Corruption (Type 2), Madness Manipulation (Type 3), and Empathic Manipulation: Chaos over time has been able to influence the change in personality of various people including Snow Villiers, who lost his optimism due to the darkness of Chaos linked to his "Heart". With large amounts of it partially transforming him into a Cieth.

Necromancy and Body Puppetry: Caius Ballad's Corps was reanimated through Chaos, and bound to Etro's temple, forcing him to fight off the savior

Causality Manipulation: Chaos dragged Lightning to Valhalla and erased her from history, re-writing past events that took place in the process. Chaos is stated to be able to destroy the past

Soul Manipulation and Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1): To manipulate Chaos is to manipulate the very substance that existed prior to the creation of mankind and created the Heart and Soul. Which acts as the very idea of one's self and are fundamental aspects of existence, of both humanity and the world they inhabit. Etro's Gate, Valhalla and The Invisible World also operate on different Concepts of Space-Time ranging from it being Non-Existent, to being ambiguous.

Higher-Dimensional Manipulation: Paradoxes are a side effect of Chaos which is stated to transcend time. This extends across the entire Fabula Nova Cosmology including the traditional universe, all existing timelines by the historia crux, the Unseen Realm, Valhalla and Etro's Gate. Valhalla in particular by WOG is stated to exist on a different plane of reality from the world. Where the entire span of Space-Time can be seen, which include all timelines (4-D) from the Historia Crux and it being referred to as the "Lowerworld" in nature.

Passive Reality Warping: Just by existing in the world, chaos warps the fabric of reality. Weakening the Universe at an accelerated rate

Law Manipulation and Physics Manipulation: Chaos can remove and alter the laws of the physical universe.

Biological Manipulation and Resistance to Age Manipulation: Chaos can alter human biology to prevent people from aging, as well as prevent new life from being born.

A few abilities listed here are already on certain people's profiles, however these should all be grouped together here under this physiology as they are all powers granted from the Heart, Soul, and harnessing Chaos respectively. Most importantly, they aren't limited to certain people in the verse. Anyone can do this if they lay claim to a soul. With the physiology stuff out of the way. Let's take a look at new haxes the cast get that stem from this game.


Lightning

Haxes: Acausality (Type 1): Retained her memories of previous events despite chaos re-writing History, Multiple Selves (Type 2): Took possession of Serah's "Soul" to house within her "Heart" before entering Crystal Stasis, Information Manipulation (Type 1): Fragments are nuggets of pure information made of crystal, which contain the memories and stories of various things, Instinctive Action (Can avoid the attacks of Odin, despite the fact that they can read each other's mind)

Optional Equipment: Elemental Invulnerability (of Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Wind; The Fire Aegis, Ice Aegis, Lightning Aegis, Wind Aegis accessories nullify damage of these elements)

Resistances: Resistance to: "Chaos": Lightning was swallowed whole by the Unseen Chaos, bringing her to Valhalla. The process of which described her existence being distorted which means it affected her "Heart and Soul" and was erased from History, Time Manipulation: Resisted Caius Ballad's stoppage of time which worked in Valhalla, a place devoid of time), Perception Manipulation (Valhalla is stated to distort one's senses, Lightning walked along Valhalla's shores for a period of time and adjusted to it), Immortality Negation and Regeneration Negation (Types 1, 4, 5, 8 and 9 and High-Godly; Able to fight and withstand attacks from Caius Ballad. Who as a Guardian is able to destroy someone's Heart and Soul.)


Serah Farron

Haxes: Unseen Chaos Physiology, Magic, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2), Space-Time Manipulation, Law Manipulation and Subjective Reality (Can utilize her inner crystal power to draw Magic which have these properties), Passive Damage Reduction (via Damage Wall), Acausality (Type 1; Retained her memories of Lightning despite Lightning being erased from History), Teleportation (As seen here), Information Manipulation (Type 1; Fragments are nuggets of pure information made of crystal, which contain the memories and stories of various things), Non-Physical Interaction (Magic as a whole is shown to affect a wide variety of different beings, from intangible/immaterial beings to non corporeal beings, to abstract concepts like Chronodia, who's the flow of time itself, to Nonexistent beings like Exdeath and Cloud of Darkness), Matter Manipulation: (Sub-Atomic; Both Fire and Blizzard spells and their higher levels are stated to affect the electrons of the targets to create fire or ice, with the latter being capable of bypassing durability in the process), Power Modification (Including Duplication, Fusionism, Statistics Amplification, Size Manipulation, Homing Attack, Danmaku, Aura, Breath Attack, and Energy Manipulation; Magic users across the games have consistently shown the ability to manipulate the shape and properties of their own magical abilities), Durability Reduction (Magic ignores durability to physical attacks requiring specific resistances to reduce the damage of), Forcefield Negation and Intangibility (Magic negates conventional physical durability, barriers, and armor, requiring specific defense against magic which is powered by the mind and spirit), Poison Manipulation and Corrosion Inducement (The Poison spell and status effect is stated to corrode the target)

Resistances: Time Manipulation (Can walk through distorted pockets of time which can speed up or slow down an object's time. Even extending to stopping the area around them), Magic, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2), Space-Time Manipulation, Law Manipulation and Subjective Reality (Can resist the effects of Magic and tank attacks), Perception Manipulation (Can function decently in Valhalla which distorts one's senses)


Snow Villers

Haxes: Acausality (Type 1): Snow's existence is described as a contradiction as he originated from a past that no longer existed, yet Snow continued to exist after the paradox was fixed and made his way to the coliseum in the Void Beyond, possibly Gravity Manipulation (Snow is the source of a substance known as graviton ore, which is used to levitate the new cocoon), Information Manipulation (Type 1): Fragments are nuggets of pure Information made of crystal, which contain memories and stories of various things


Noel Kriess

Thus we've arrived to the final game in the trilogy. While there are some noteworthy pieces of info presented in this game. Ultimately, the vast majority of this game just adds a little more detail on things established in XIII-2. However we should start with the new elements introduced into this game.

The Savior

Lightning, the champion of the now awake Bhunivelze, is used to collect the souls of the civilians of Nova Crystalia and store them for the creation of the new world. The Savior is described as being less of a human and more of a deity. This is because of the Savior's new power called...

Eradia

Eradia is a different type of energy, separate from that of both Magic and Chaos. It is a source of power granted by Bhunivelze to Lightning herself and is used to extend the lifespan of the world of the living. Eradia is capable of repairing the fabric of Space-Time, that was eaten away by Chaos.

The Ark

The Savior's base of operations, The Ark was originally built as a potential new home for lifeforms after Chaos invaded the visible world. However, Chaos creeped it's way in and was abandoned. In which Bhunivelze converted it, the ark is now described as a separate dimension altogether where time doesn't flow at all.

Schemata

Schemata are various different outfits, weapons and shields The Savior can equip, some of which have special abilities and properties. That's about it for the new elements of this game. Most of what's in Lightning Returns really just expands upon things established in XIII-2. So without further ado, let's see what new abilities the cast gets this time around.


Lightning

Lost Haxes

Multiple Selves (Type 2): Bhulnivelze had removed both Serah's Heart and Soul from Lightning, leaving a complete void. A vessel being created to house it which manifested into the character known as Lumina, and Immortality (Type 9 for the soul; applies to everyone): Noel severing Etro's Heart caused the Chaos trapped in Valhalla to flood into the Visible World and destroy Etro's Gate in the process.

New Haxes: All Previous plus Weapon Mastery: (Of Swords, Greatswords, Staves, Dual Blades and Shields), Flight, Deconstruction (Hits from Lightning are able to do this), Blessed, Chi Manipulation, Holy Manipulation, and Passive Space-Time Manipulation (Power and Enhancement; Blessed by Bhunivelze to become the Savior and was infused with his Holy Light, a special energy called Eradia, in which the savior uses as a Life Force. Eradia is capable of repairing the fabric of Space-Time, that was eaten away by Chaos. Restoring the lost "13th" hour removed by Chaos. Can also use this energy offensively), Advanced Non-Existent Interaction, Soul Manipulation, Life Force Absorption, Energy Absorption, and Power Absorption (Lightning is able to absorb people's souls into herself, helping her Eradia grow in the process to guide them to the new world and protect them against harm. Can call upon the souls of all mankind and channeled their combined power to defeat Bhunivelze. The soul is said to embody both everything and nothing, with beings that exist in their astral form simultaneously exist and don't exist. The soul is also made of and infused with Chaos which have various different concepts of Space-Time and Form, ranging from being ambiguous to being Non-Existent. Is also able to fight with Material Non-Existent beings such as Caius Ballad. Also cross scaled from Class Zero L'Cie's who can absorb a foe's Phantoma, restoring MP in the process. Both of which are the very idea of one's fundamental existence), possibly Fate Manipulation (Should scale from Bhunivelze, who as a deity is able to manipulate the fates of living beings. Meaning it can bind even Type 4 Acasuals), Dimensional Travel and BFR (Opened a portal which sent Bhunivelze into another dimension. With the Savior being able to travel into it herself, as they plunge into Chaos.), Awakened Power and Empowerment (Gained a burst of power when motivated by her friends. Allowing her to overpower Bhunivelze's blast with her allies when she struggled to hold it back before), Upgraded Time Stop (Her Time Stop is superior to Bhunivelze's, who's power in it of itself is superior to Caius Ballad's who can enforce Time Stop in Timeless Voids such as Valhalla and The Void Beyond as well as work against beings who resist those effects such as Serah and Noel Kriess), Transmutation (Crystalized Bhunivelze and sent him into the Unseen realm. Though weather he truly died or was just put sleep again is unknown)

Schemas: Transformation and Statistics Modification (Can switch various schemata at will, which can change equipment and outfits with her statistics altering as well), Power Mimicry (Can utilize the equipment and garbs of fellow Final Fantasy Protagonists: Cloud Strife, Yuna, and Tidus. Which allow her to use their abilities such as Cross Slash which paralyzes the target), Creation and Passive Empathic Manipulation (The Moogle Queen Schema allows Lightning to conjure a Moogle Doll which draws an enemies attention for a short time), Unholy Manipulation (The Divine Wear Schemata has the Crocea Mors blade and Abyss Gate Shield. Which are stated to be artifacts of the Devil infused with evil Miasama), passive Attack Negation (The Aegis Shield is capable of negating all attacks), Life Manipulation (The Cosmocrator armor is said to be imbued with the life of all creation), Morality Manipulation and Resistance to Morality Manipulation (Excalibur is the sword of God, said to deny all evil and return it to nothingness. While The celestial body armor makes the user beyond good and evil, providing resistance to Excalibur's effects)

Resistances: Deconstruction (Fought Snow Villiers and can withstand attacks from him), Power Nullification (Able to utilize a little of her powers despite walking through Etro's temple after being shot in the chest with a chaos blast. The chaos of which threatened to null the Savior's power), Holy Manipulation (Her light was stronger than that of Bhunivelze's, allowing her to power through his light without sustaining damage), further Time Stop Resistance (Able to move when the final bell tolled and the world's time ceased to exist when Bhunivelze woke up. Who's Time Stop is superior to Caius Ballad’s. Is also able to move inside of "The Ark" where time doesn't flow at all)


Snow

Haxes: Immortality (Type 1, for the physical body; Hope stated that Chaos made humans stop growing. Now rendering them biologically immortal), possible BFR (As seen here), and Deconstruction (Attacks from Snow have been shown to do this), Resistance to Corruption should be changed to resistance to the Effects of Chaos, Deconstruction (Can take hits from Lightning), Immunity to Soul Manipulation (Upon Lightning saving him. He no longer possessed his own soul)


Caius Ballad

Haxes: Immortality (Type 7; Caius Ballad's Corps was reanimated through Chaos and bound to Etro's Temple. Forcing him to fight the Savior), Non-Existence Physiology (Nature: Type 1; Aspect: Types 1 & 2; Caius no longer possessed Etro's Heart and Soul), Resistance to Deconstruction (Fought Lightning and can withstand attacks from her)


Noel Kriess

Haxes: Immortality (Type 1, for the physical body; Hope stated that Chaos made humans stop growing. Also as mentioned before the verse is going through revisions with each subsequent numbered entry so you may have jumped the gunblade at bit (depending on how other FF supporters will interpret this revision since FFXV is getting some buffs too).
 
Ok after reading all that, I understand you points but I don't agree with all of them personally or I'm just lost:

*Overall I agree with the FFXIII magic and character exclusive P&A additions myself since they're pretty blatant plus the updated character profiles.

*I'm neutral with giving FFXIII characters the same magic potency as the classic games since I was initially unaware Type-0 characters were given those powers (I'm not sure how the crystals of Fabula Nova directly relate to the crystals of the classic era since I don't remember that being a thing in this game but you do fight Gilgamesh multiple times so it's up in the air for me personally) I would rather see @Theglassman12 or @HST_Master give their views on this before saying anything else on the subject.

*I'm at a lost for the Unseen Chaos Physiology page since I mostly understand the points but the implications of trying to apply it to other games is a massive leap in logic (kinda sounds like KH lol!) plus while applying such a massive UES/physiology buff needs watertight sources and as a JRPG all those sources may have to be traced backed to the original Japanese versions of Fabula Nova to see if there are any discrepancies (depending on which is considered the "source" material, for example both the Pal and international version of Supernova are treated as equally canon by SE).

Everything else I don't have an opinion on since it's bit above my head without a 2nd opinion, again this CRT is pretty overwhelming since it's a verse overhaul, creates pages and has cosmology too. Personally I would've divided this CRT in two: one half for hax/characters and the other half for the new pages/cosmology but I digress.

So I may be wrong this, but the way you said it makes it sound like you think I'm trying to apply this to every single FF world? Again, If I'm wrong on that I'm sorry. Though that's not what I'm trying to do, as it's not really an overhaul of the entire verse, but more so a sub-series of games. Which is why I called it "Fabula Nova Overhaul" instead of Final Fantasy. All of the new stuff applies specifically to XIII and Type-0, especially the powers granted from Chaos because XIII and Type-0 aren't different universes. They are two games in the same universe, just on different worlds. Which probably means planet in this context.

TartaChocolate even suggested that name and some others to make it more distinct, I originally had it as something more generic and it does have some similarities to FF's Sister series and their "Hearts" (Funny enough, Bob had that exact thought)

The reason why the crystals in Fabula Nova relate to the first 6 is because in this particular sub-series, Crystals represent Souls, Divinity, and The Origin of Magic which harkens back to those first six games, that last part being direct reference to The Creator from FFIV. Hajime Tabata himself even states that this sub-series is based on the established Crystal Legend. I've also talked with HST about this, and have showed him what I had, and he agreed with majority of it.

As for Type-0 gaining the hax, Arecia Al Recia and Gala are confirmed to be Fal Cie like beings created by Pulse and Lindzei respectively to find Etro's Gate. Arecia tried so by creating the Crystals of each nation including the Vermillion Bird Crystal which grants magic to it's subjects.
 
For what's worth, I agree with the proposals here as well. I already talked with Alpha on the stuff I had my reservations, and he further explained most of it, so at the very least it checks out for me.
 
Counted, also I've updated the thread with your suggestions Tarta. Which included added Chi Manipulation for Eradia, Empowerment alongside Awakened Power, Physics Manipulation alongside Law Manip for Chaos, and Instinctive Action for the Knight of Etro key for the Odin Fight.

Agree. I think it's possible to argue that Serah's regeneration after being freed from Bhunivelze's control could be considered a form of Soul Manipulation. After all, her soul was able to reform itself even though her body had been destroyed.

Of course, this is just one interpretation. There are other ways to explain Serah's regeneration, such as saying that she was simply healed by a powerful magic spell.

However additional justifications for it are greatly appreciated. The Data Manipulation is especially good as it'll give the cast resistance to that and grant that hax to Bhunivelze. I'm a bit unfamiliar with the duality stuff though. I'll update the thread with your suggestions.

The Reality Manip I don't agree with though, as it requires a bit of context. Those are more so haxes of "The Void Beyond". Those who "die" in the Void Beyond are put into an eternal sleep and sent into their own illusionary dream world based on their memories and hearts desire. It's not really applicable to anyone aside from maybe Bhuni.

I feel the manipulation of atoms while good, is a bit unnecessary. Since Magic can reach Sub-Atomic levels which is even better. On top of this Bhunivelze reaches this level of Matter Hax by himself as he has the power to reshape matter into any material thing, including the stuff that make up a world.

While I wouldn't mind applying the changes. Seeing as how you brought up some more stuff, including the Non-Physical/Non-Dual Existence (Which if I'm not sure what it's classified as). I'd prefer to wait another 24 hours just so people can have extra time to review this and comment. Just to be on the safe side. Though if everyone who has given input is ok with me applying these haxes, I can do so. Plus I need time to make a draft of Light's new profile since she's gonna require the most amount of work and changes. On top of this, I need to find out what that hax qualifies as.
