What is the counter argument? That Eggman can activate it with his bullets to prevent him getting protection, something gameplay based that comes from his machine so he’d likely still get the benefit anyway? Again, the whole purpose of the time stop switch is for being able to do actions while time is stopped, if the original creator was also stopped upon activating the switch he could not gain any benefit from it, ergo it makes sense the user would be protected.

Dura neg should also still be removed because the original quote is hardly exhaustive proof that the blade could cut through anything when it just mentions rock and steel.
