then you can't have it, since if it has no standard you could just call basically anything "Destroyed" and just absorb it

Honestly, when I brought up the rule, I actually thought it'd be somewhat okay to do some better power copy on stuff you weren't bringing in yourself. But there should still be some limits, and whether you can do it or not is up to Overlord.
