Elden Ring Profiles

Tier 4 Florida residents

Has anybody any plans for a profile for Astel? Or Ranni? Cause I would be glad to make those two
I've said Ranni like five times now. Nobody's taken Astel yet so that's free reign.

Godfrey.
Malenia.
Radahn.
Malekith.
Blaidd.
Ranni.
And nobody is doing Tarnished yet, they come last.

Are who I think have been called by others.

I've said Ranni several times to lol, I've started a blog

Aside from Astel and her, I also have a good interest in Mogh and maybe Elden Beast

I mean, I know you have, and literally every time for the most part I've went "I called her mate". You can check the general discussion even. The first people to vocally call anyone was Ovens with Malenia and me with Ranni and Blaidd.

Nobody has called Mohg or Elden Beast though I don't think unless they did so on the server, I've compiled a handful of Mohg stuff so I can hand that off to you if you want, you have discord right? Join the server if you haven't.

Ok well sorry then, I guess I wasn't paying enough attention and my blog is useless now lol (btw, is it possible to delete a blog?). Forgot to mention I've called Gideon to (so basically Astel, Mogh, Gideon and maybe the Beast)

Yeah, I have Discord and yes, I would like to join the server thanks

Well obviously don't delete it, I've been gathering stuff for characters too, my plan was just to hand out sandboxes with all the info and clips gathered to whoever called them though.

A reminder to those that wish for tier 4 that faulty translations could still be prevalent, and that due to what has been discussed earlier, itd be better to use the japanese text

Alright so this is what i get:
  • Chariot is going to handling Ranni, Radahn, Malenia, Malekith, Godfrey, and Blaidd
  • Ovens is also wanted to make Malenia profile
  • Arkham was just started a blog for Ranni and beside Astel, he's interested with Elden Beast and Mohg (and prolly Gideon)
  • Zarathustra would make Knight Ogha and Cleanrot Knight Finlay

So that mean Rykard, Godrick, Fire Demon, Godskin Duo, and the two great dragon that i can't remember their name (the one with three heads and the one who yield the lightning like Zeus)

I'm only doing Ranni, Blaidd and maybe Malekith personally, gotta leave some for everyone else after all.

Though I've been doing clips and gathering scans for everyone, I'm just gonna drop them in sandboxes whenever it's ready and hand it off to whoever called them and they can do what they see fit.

Placidusax.

I'll handle Astel, Mogh, Gideon and if possible the Elden Beast and Sellen or Rennala

This has probably been talked about already but ima just bring it up cause why no but possible concept manip?

Elden stars incantation says this https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Elden+Stars
It is said that long ago, the Greater Will sent a golden star bearing a beast into the Lands Between, which would later become the Elden Ring.

https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Protection+of+the+Erdtree
In the beginning, everything was in opposition to the Erdtree. But through countless victories in war, it became the embodiment of Order.

It was the vassal beast of the Greater Will and living incarnation of the concept of Order.

Actually every incantation and sorcery user should have conceptual and law manipulation. Like it's pretty clear both things are abstract in nature and capable of changing reality.

The Elden Ring itself is a metaphysical abstraction of the Erdtree.

Sorcery holds power over laws that even the planets must obey.

And these both essences are able to shape the world and affect reality.

This is the old argument that things should have the power of their power source, which isn't really how we handle such things on VSBW. It's the same reason not every spell in D&D is 5-D despite drawing from such a source. You can draw from something and not necessarily possess the very same aspects as it.

Oh, definitely. The Elden Ring affects concepts, at least on a relatively small scale- it seems unlikely that it manipulates the cosmos in general, but at least for The Lands Between and the world we play in. The "embodiment of order" there is probably a bit of flavorful writing, though- something like becoming an icon to something more than oneself, I think they're saying the Erdtree was recognized as the symbol of the new Order.

Yeah but the thing is that here they are explicitly saying that these powers has effects over reality, like the sorceries, which is an explicit one.
You're quoting a promotional Twitter. Even ignoring that, they aren't. They said they draw from these sources. The other Twitter post is an insane reach and I suspect you know that. A sword can "shape the world" by causing a conflict, shit's vague as hell.

Tbf it's possible that it actually affects what manipulates the cosmos if we consider that the Elden Ring replaced the stars as the main source of power at that moment (also remember "that which commanded the stars, giving life its fullest brilliance")

Idk why a promotional Twitter would affect something if we are talking about official sources. Regardless, even without that, incantations are still able to control laws by themselves.

Why it would be an insane reach? If we were talking about something tangible or a character then I can understand you, but we are talking about literally essences of the world itself, which with all the previous context gives a solid conclusion.

Law Manip is aight it's kinda blatant, but let's not conflate law manip and conceptual manip.

I don't know if the Elden Ring "replaced" the stars so much as the Elden Ring is another cosmic source in the verse. Incantations rely on the Elden Ring and the Greater Will, whereas sorceries draw on the stars and the power of Glintstone.

It's certainly a lesser source, given it probably didn't pass by the writing team (I strongly doubt they're the ones operating the Twitter, after all). I'm fully aware that some incantations do deal in the things you say- I apologize if you took my statement to mean that these did not exist. I am saying that, even in spite of these things, it is not guaranteed that, say, Urgent Heal is super ultra turbo concept manip, simply because it exists in the same sphere as these incantations. I don't know what you mean by "essences of the world itself"- they're spells that draw on the power of the Elden Ring to do things.

Radahn's feat was generally clocked at 7-A to 6-C. ArbitraryNumbers calced the Fullgrown Fallingstar Beast's crater at City Block level to Town level depending on whether we take it as pulverization or vaporization. I don't know of any other hard-calced feats yet.

Also, I've noticed something interesting. The Elden Beast and Astel both share a specific ability, a wide hand swipe that leaves a field of stars that explodes after a delay

About the EB being one/having star based attacks or the possibly 4-A stuff?
Personally the EB's stuff is turbo weak for star consideration, it's literally just "light in the sky". I still think the strongest evidence of Tier 4 is the bit about the Elden Ring commanding the stars- which would still scale to EB, so I guess the point is moot. In my book, possibly High 4-C or something to that order is acceptable depending on the translations.

I think something like High 4-C or maybe even "At least High 4-C" since as you said the Ring commands stars (though I highly doubt it controls the whole cosmos) and we know the Beast is kind of the embodiement of it

I was thinking more "possibly" (again, depending on the star conversation) since, as Grath mentioned, we don't know what exactly that statement means. Does the Ring command fate, since this is what the stars govern? Can it physically shift or change them? We don't know.
