Eggman Upgrade

I'm not sure either. It could be legit but at the same time we do not list Eggman's physical speed as FTL because he outpaced Sonic in Sonic 2.

I don´t think it´s game mechanics, this isn´t like Arceus being one shotted by a Rattata via the FEAR trick, but an actual event that happened (as it can´t be skipped) to progress the game, meaning that it simply isn´t game mechanics.

@Bob Fair and good point, but HERO also has a fair point here. If others agree then you have my support as well, but I think I'm still unsure as of now.

Eggman would be Sub Relativistic via scaling to Classic Sonic. Only FTL if we take into account Sonic 4 (but we all know Sonic simply prefers to wait for him to be ready, so this one doesn´t really matters).

Unlike those scenarios, here we straight up see Eggman having to be smacked by his own machine, and as I already said for the before-mentioned reasons, it isn´t game mechanics.

Then Eggman doesn't scale to Sonic physically, proving that we don't accept things like this here.

Speed and Durability are separate ratings, then again, so him being still at that speed is fine, the durability is the one that should be upgraded at least.

I suppose that this seems to make sense, if it was an actual cutscene event, and not simply game mechanics.

However, it is probably good if you ask Dark649 to comment here.

One instance is not enough for un upgrade, if there are others where he took Low 6-B attacks then i might agree.

Honestly, this seems like gameplay mechanics, as Eggman is canonically physically frail in comparison to Sonic and friends and has to rely on machines to contend with them.

Nah. That was just a scuba outfit he was using to maneuver through the water, not something that would make him vastly more durable.

I guess it falls as an outlier in that case?

He also has a feat of tanking Charmy´s sting in Sonic Heroes now that I remember...

Well, if Dark649 has rejected this as an outlier, we should probably close this thread.

Well, I just pointed out that he had another feat in those lines.

Whether or not it falls as an outlier is surely pending a bit more discussion.
