Dragon Ball - The Franchise's 2-A Multiverse is Canon

『 DRAGON BALL CANON GOES BEYOND MANGA AND ANIME!? 』

It seems simple to say no, but it's not quite like that. The most famous case of the franchise is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot which has canonical backstories that were not presented in the Manga.

Keep this information because it will be important later on.

Besides Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot we also have quote from Akira about GT being a Parallel Story to the Original. I could be wrong, but being a parallel story doesn't take away its canonicity, in fact if it's parallel I imagine it coexists with the original work

But besides GT, we also have Akira talking about Dragon Ball movies and he says he sees them as >DIMENSIONS< alternatives from his Manga

He mentions this in an interview

Now the most interesting part: Shin Budokai is probably part of this canon for following the movie "Dragon Ball Z: The Fusion Returns! Goku and Vegeta" and the most interesting thing is that he has Infinite Worlds which totally matches the fact of the movies being in different dimensions

[]

Now remember that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has canonical backstories? One of these stories is "introduced" to the Timebreakers: Mira and Towa who, after being defeated by the Future Warrior of the 1st Dragon Ball Xenoverse, will travel through the Parallel Worlds of Diagon Ball in search of energy for Mira, this is a direct link with Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Dragon Ball Heroes and, in addition, it is also a link with Dragon Ball FighterZ as we also have an appearance of Android Number 21.

[this you can search on Youtube and quickly find it]

Canon of the Manga/Anime and it's also very interesting to know that everything coexists in a larger Multiverse and that they can be explored in the future.

OBS: I remembered while I was putting together the text, but Dragon Ball Z (Anime) follows Garlick Junior's movie and there is also a quote about the Universe having several dimensions, once again showing consistency in terms of a Multiverse beyond what we already know out presented

OBS2: Bulma in Dragon Ball Super remembers the frog Ginyu who exchanged with her in the Frieza Saga, this fact is a filler of Dragon Ball Z and shows that Dragon Ball Super (Anime) takes place in a World where this occurred, that is , is not fully connected to Toriyama's Manga

First of all, we should know that DBH is parallel to DBS and vice versa: https://imgur.com/9xzioAN

Thank you to everyone who purchased the Dragon Ball GT DVD BOX.

Although it's just the core members, some mechanical drawings and some image cuts, I managed to feel at ease because of the excellent team that has continued to play Dragon Ball for a long time.

The serialized Dragon Ball was successfully completed, and I was so happy that I was finally released from hell, even though I was originally lazy.

In particular, the animator Nakatsuru-kun was very skilled, and I quickly learned the habit of my paintings, and sometimes I drew this character myself, Nakatsuru-kun, etc. Sometimes I dont get it. For example, "Super Saiyan 4 was drawn by Nakatsuru, and the image above is a caricature I drew looking at her. Did it work?

The TV anime wanted to continue for a while, but I'm more than that... That's why I decided to leave the Dragon Ball anime, including the story, to the anime team. That's "Dragon Ball GT".

GT is a car term for "Gran Turismo", meaning a fast, high-performance car, but in this case it was set to run around the universe, so "Gran Turismo" GT with the meaning of a great journey was made .

Shin Budokai references the return of fusion and has infinite worlds

= "Goku has only seen a small fraction of the worlds."

"もしもの世界は無限にある " = "The number of worlds is infinite."

"ドラゴンボールを愛する人がいる限り..." = "As long as people continue to love Dragon Ball ..."

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball have direct connection to Dragon Ball canon

In it we have missions related to Mira and Towa with connection to DBX2, it means that the canon cosmology is linked to Xenoverse which is 2A

DBZ Kakarot is canon and it links with DBX1 and 2.

At the end of XV1 the FW wins Mira, and all that remains is the core, she then says that she will gather energy to recover it (https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxJ_OeDEf_r1cl-hErwgid6hosw4Bryy7Y), in Kakarot Towa appears with the same core gathering energy on the canon timeline(https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxbVhZXYh5uNZqzJzE2dXH1egkdnRxFNob), they manage to bring Mira back, and in the end, they decide to go to another timeline to gather more energy(https://youtube.com/clip /Ugkx42dp8p7t9wxTuq3WQ7dzVgdzTX33yzx3), which is preceded by the events of DBX2 where Mira is alive.

Android 21 has been canonized https://imgur.com/a/ykzPdt0

Dragon Ball is not just the manga, and any filler in the anime or manga would be canon material.

Some canonical fillers from the anime were suggested by Akira toriyama

Trunks quotes in each action creates a new parallel world (https://imgur.io/a/0FNKN), here he quotes that there are other parallel worlds (https://imgur.com/a/nl5ZZ), it is seen that there is a room with endless drawers where zamasu and kaioshin get the time ring, understanding that infinite timelines can exist (https://imgur.com/a/ioTxD)

Note, all scans are in other languages, but I explain everything in English! I believe that it is not necessary to bring an English scan, it is something very difficult to find in Brazil, so I'm sorry!

I propose 2-A for Dragon Ball for coexisting with the same timelines

Just letting you know you didn't need to make a new thread you could've edited the previous one with the english text but thanks for fixing that, I'll let you know now though since you're new but please try not to start many threads back to back especially when they concern the same thing

That all said I'll link this to the previous thread for you so people can give input

『 DRAGON BALL CANON GOES BEYOND MANGA AND ANIME!? 』
Nah, just the manga :3

Keep this information because it will be important later on.

Not really. This comment could mean any number of things.

The phrase "haven't been told in the manga" alone could mean anything from "The game includes newfound information that expands the lore of the original canon", to "The game includes information from other media, but not quite the manga", to "The game includes information that I've recently came up with but wasn't integrated into the manga because of a lack of foresight".

Besides, Piccolo moon illusion?

The statement that "Dragon Ball GT is a grand side-story of the original Dragon Ball, and it’ll make me happy for us to watch and enjoy it together" is completely devoid of any meaningful substance in regards to its place in the canon, especially when you consider the fact that earlier in his comment, Toriyama declared that...
Being a lazy bum by nature, I was absurdly happy when I managed to safely finish up Dragon Ball’s serialization, and finally be released from Deadline Hell. The TV anime people wanted to continue for just a little bit more, but I [just couldn’t do] any more than that… And so, I left the Dragon Ball anime completely up to the anime staff, story and all. That was Dragon Ball GT.
...and most damning...
For GT, all I did was just come up with the title, design the initial main cast and some of the machines, and also do a few images.
GT is not a project of Toriyama's, nor is it connected to his original manga. It is a project of Toei's and is connected to their TV anime.

"What is your personal stance..."

A discrepancy, yes.

Still connected to the manga, though.

Ignoring the fact that this statement means nothing, do you even know where this came from? Is it real?

According to a statement from Akira Toriyama, released by Bandai Namco on Twitter, the game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will feature never-before-seen stories that will form part of the franchise's official canon.

Toriyama further explains that he believes that the game being a way to expand Goku's universe is a refreshing approach to the saga.

It's not just the manga that is canonical, Akira toriyama has already come to the public citing that anime and manga are both part of the canon, although both have different stories and have the same ending.

『 DRAGON BALL CANON GOES BEYOND MANGA AND ANIME!? 』

Keep this information because it will be important later on.

Oh boy, oh boy. I would write this in Portuguese since it's apparently your language, but I guess English will do. (In fact, I'll do a translated version below the English one)

First things first. The quote does not validate Kakarot as being canon to the manga, not even the supposed backstories. Why? Because Toriyama's statements does not justify such conclusion in the first place.
He doesn't say "These backstories are part of the original story". He doesn't say "These backstories were meant to be in the manga".
All he does say is, "the backstories presented in Kakarot are not present in the manga."

That's it, that's where the statement ends. This tells us nothing about how canon said backstories. There is not counter evidence to this because it's just misinterpretation.

Okay, primeiro.

Now, the GT argument is even worse.
"He says it's a parallel story, but that doesn't take away from it's canonicity"

... Brother, you do realize you have to provide evidence that GT is canon before addressing counterarguments, correct? It is a media created by other people that has never been validated by Toriyama. It's non-canon by default unless proven otherwise.

"In fact, if it's parallel, I imagine it coexists with the original story"

Yes? The GT Anime is a form of media that coexists with the other forms of media of Dragon Ball. What about it?

Just interpret the line.

"It's a parallel STORY of the Original Dragon Ball".

Akira is explicitly making a distinction. GT is not part of the original story, the original world. If he said GT was a parallel universe or world, you'd have an argument. But he explicitly used the term story, separating the canon. (Since "canon" is referred as "Original Story" (本編) in Japanese).

O argumento do GT é pior ainda.

Interprete a fala.

"É uma HISTÓRIA paralela à História Original de Dragon Ball"

O Akira fez uma clara distinção entre os canons com essa fala. O GT não é parte da HISTÓRIA ORIGINAL. Se ele tivesse dito que o GT é um universo paralelo seu ponto faria sentido, mas ele nunca falou nada disso. (A palavra "cânon" em japonês se lê como "história original" (本編), então ele separou o GT do cânon).

a different dimension from the canon. ("main story" = Canon in Japanese)

The evidence is insufficient.

the guidebooks made by akira toriyama himself have said for years that U7 was made up of countless infinite dimensions, 4 spacial dimension and one temporal dimension. Since it's been 100% confirmed that Goku and Beerus nearly turned the whole thing to nothingness during BOG, them and everyone who scales to them would be 4D+ and low to mid multiversal level at the very least

also might need a speed upgrade since whis has gone from Beerus's planet to king kais planet in otherworld in around 20 minutes, he crossed an infinite dimension in that short amount of time so his scaling needs to be updated

not really, I've read the manga and the guidebooks plus the anime and the manga literally backs up the claim that U7 is a macrocosm with several infinite dimensions. it's pretty well known how big the macrocosm is in the community
I didn't question your knowledge or anything. Just saying that what you said is very close to what Chuck said (stuff like 4D+ which I've never seen anyone mention before him).
