There are many people who still think it is a nursery rhyme for children and there is nothing serious about it.

Frieza didn't get stronger, but Goku got weaker. Think about it even if we use SSG being 10x SSG. It means Frieza has to be constantly 4000x stronger than Goku. Also Napapa overpowered base Kale and he struggled against Basil who is shown to be weaker than Good Buu.

We see both Vegeta and Goku requiring SSJ to keep up with the Trio Brother and Basil was clearly weaker than Good Buu and needed drugs pills. Now you are implying that Good Buu who did nothing can now one shot BoG SSG Goku:

Not an argument. There is no evidence that Basil or Good Buu would produce universe destroying punches, if they were to replace BoG SSG Goku. Also this dude is apparently hundreds of times BoG SSG level who is around Basil level, who lost to Good Buu who is already far stronger than SSG https://ibb.co/WDy6z5V

You are correct, but also wrong.
Vegeta did say Jiren ins't that much stronger than them, but Just in the physical departament, and then he clarified by saying they opponent uses they energy better than them, so that make them stronger than them.
So Goku is not able to fight Jiren and win with Super Saiyan Blue, but then he tapped into UI, and can trow Hands just with him after.

Out of curiosity do we ever get such a statement in the manga?
Because in the manga Goku's Super Saiyan 2 is comparable to Trunks' Super Saiyan 2 which is only described as being "much better than Gohan when he unlocked SSJ2". No comment of "Trunks has surpassed the level of a Super Saiyan God".
And when Goku shifts briefly into God form he stomps Trunks' powered-up Super Saiyan 2 form.
Plus the manga is pretty consistent on the forms progression being: SSJ -> SSJ2 -> SSJ3 --> SSJG -- > SSJB
Since the anime and manga are different canons I wonder if we can treat the "Saiyan beyond God" form as anime-only.
