There is a kanji that represents both "star" and "planet" which is 星.

So Goku could be talking about either one, it depends on the context.

I theorised when the trailer released that it will be revealed Namekians came from the Demon Realm due to things like evil mutating them (King Piccolo, the Demon clan) and their magic affinity (Namekians being naturally gifted at magic, when the Demon Realm is a dimension of magic) as well as the manga revealing that Namekians came from a different realm entirely.

So my guess is that the green-skinned guy in the trailer is an evil Namekian who refused to leave the Demon Realm with the good Namekians. Probably has his own sets of DBs and could have his own Demon Clan offspring like King Piccolo.
