Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

If we spent as much effort on productive CRTs then trying to prove a sticker book canon, we'd have anything accepted.

Why isn't the statement of the realm having no time and space by itself enough tho? It's also stated to be filled with nothingness. I mean that seems like a pretty blatant statement

Because it doesn't say the word concept.
I see
I mean everything disagrees to Zeno scaling, I think DDM and didn't Griffin also have doubts?
We got the required number who accepted, DDM had doubts about low 1c timeline itself, which has nothing to do with the thread, griffin had initial doubts about Zeno because he didn't see the justification for him, it was pointed out and he accepted

Yeah I see ok. So it can be closed in a while and changes applied. The blog can be made referencing DT's draft and that the changes still apply to DB's cosmology and that's that.

Here's an analogy of what a concept is. It's a blueprint, one that isn't printed on paper but exist solely as an idea in a man's mind. That man creates houses based off that blueprint, and any time the blueprint changes he alters the house to fit that, he does that to any of the multiple houses he creates based on this blueprint.

A blueprint, while it is used as basis of the house, is not actually part of the house itself. But in this metaphor, a type 2 concept would be if someone alters or destroys all the houses based off this blueprint, then the man just changes or forgets the blueprint.

Space-time, however, is basically an invisible road on which everything moves. It's a very wide road, and a whole lot of very very small things also move on it unseen, and this road can have slopes which limit movement. Bit of a butchered metaphor and misses quite a few details, but it's the best I got and I hope it explains the difference between the things.

So the concept of space-time would be blueprint used to make this invisible road.

Is it solely based on Plato's ideas? Because this also seems to be just reality warping.

Also hope everything went okay during your absence.

Mostly Plato, it's what the wiki takes the most inspiration from and the most common idea of what a concept is among people who care enough to have some idea of this stuff but not enough that they research it extensively.

That's the secret, most abilties are reality warping if you strip away the specifics.

How much more extensively can you research it?

So like changing reality to make air blue and changing the concept of air to make it blue are pretty much one and the same.

Extensively enough that I can't give an answer to that.

On the surface level, yes. On the nitty-gritty unseen level, there is difference. Especially on that part where changing the blueprint of the house changes all the houses. Plus just changing the air won't change the blueprint itself, not unless it's a type 2 concept and you change all the air blue (and them theirs the question what classifies as air under said blueprint, and all those fun philosophy questions)

no, since changing a concept would affect all things blue in general, while affecting reality only affects that part of reality. It's hard to explain but erasing time would only affect what was erased, while affecting the CONCEPT of time would affect all lower concepts coming from the concept of time such as clocks, speed ext

Can't we just make a CRT to confirm if the encyclopedia can be used while listing out the facts?

worst case scenario, mods vote no

Yeah, my analogy was leaving out the part where a blueprint of a house also include things, like the bathroom, garden, furniture, and all those other things, and it can get very complicated and specific and wasn't too essential to differentiating between space-time and concepts.

Not worth it. You have a mod right here that voted no. I see no meaning in that. I mean you can do that. I just feel it's a waste of time.

Ok thanks for the info. I will just stick to my fighting manga and the tier 1 novels.

Is there any non official databook that has been licenced?

Also, another question, assuming he just created a spacetime there, no concept, would he have to make his own time axis or it would be based on the existing time axis that the realm was bound under?
