Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

I barely remember it. Mainly just the combat gameplay, which could be fun at first, especially back when it was still somewhat unique, but quickly gets boring. I played it a lot after it came out (got it the first day iirc), but I haven't played it in years.

Dokkan doesn't really have feats, I think. Just statements iirc. With titles like "Azure Omnipotence" for Blue Vegito.

I like the LR Gogeta and Vegito Blue themes. I'm kind of done with Dokkan though. I played it a lot back in the day, and have a top tier team (I can easily beat the Fighting Legend Goku event).

Technically they do if we're using their super attacks. SSJ4 Gogeta Teq and MUI Goku takes out a galaxy/s. Alot of planet busting ones from Buu, Frieza, and Broly. INT God Goku's universal punch etc...

Oh yeah.

Should we count things like MUI Goku being massively superior to SSJG Goku in canon as relevant here? It's a game that doesn't necessarily care about canon power levels in the least. If we did include them, there could be sections dedicated to character ranking. We could probably minimize it to SSR, UR, Transcended UR, and LR though, as counting the first three would be pointless.

So which is better? Dokkan or Naruto Blazing cause I already lost my shit playing that latter
Never played Naruto Blazing, but Dokkan is pretty fun for a while. It's a nice game to grind on until you reach that point every grinding type game has where progress just slows down so much it becomes extremely boring. And if you want top tier units, you need to stay around long enough for the event banners to show up.

I was unthinkably lucky and pulled a unit that transcends into an LR on literally my first or second banner, which was just some normal banner with no good units featured on it. I'm pretty sure the chances of that happening are less than 1%. (The original SSJ2 Teen Gohan LR if anyone was wondering)

Here's fan art of Golden Metal Cooler if he was in DB Legends, looks great IMO

Idk how I feel about canonizing them. They were never really good villains, although their designs are decent. I do think Toriyama should expand upon the whole Demon Realm stuff, but making those two canon isn't something I'd necessarily want. If demon's are introduced more, I hope they have impressive hax.

Imagine if Mechikabura became canon along with all of his Heroes abilities.

Then DBS becomes more canon fodder for the 2-A tier.

Also I'd hate if it turn out, all this wait was because they had some ******** idea like a 'DB cinematic universe'. I'd lose my shit if that happened.

I think that's already a thing unofficially.

Like, officially, Super's manga is the canonical sequel to the original story, go figure, GT is a non-canon side-story and a sequel to the Z anime
and apparently to the Super anime, the movies take place in a continuity separate from both the manga and the TV anime, and the games are their own can of worms.

But, unofficially, a lot of people consider Dragon Ball Online to be canon to the manga, with the original website and Toriyama calling it a continuation of the original story, Toriyama moreso implying it. Toriyama also supervised the game, which adds some weight to these games. And, if Online is canon, that would lead to Xenoverse and Heroes being canon, which would rope all Dragon Ball media together...

except for dragonball evolution, for whatever reason.

GT Canon?

Pog

GT Canon?

i mean, it could also mean the super anime is non-canon.
which makes sense, given all of super's connection to the z anime like gregory, mark's assistants, the anime flashbacks, et cetera.
i'd really like for the super anime to be treated as non-canon so "son goku (chou)" can became "son goku (dragon ball super)".

That must be why Goku and Vegeta only use Blue in the movie, and why Vegeta can just pull out Super Saiyan God whenever he wants, and why Frieza doesn't know what a Metamoran Fusion is, and why the first quarter of the movie follows the story of Dragon Ball Minus, and why the events laid out in the movie line up perfectly with the Galactic Patrolman Saga, and why both the movie and the manga are considered to be canonical by official sources, and why the movie is directly referenced in the manga, and why Vegeta's Galick Gun was yellow. Don't talk to me about the Kamehameha, though.
