DMC's Forgotten Abilities,Resistances and Hax

You bring up good points.

If time stop were accepted then Dante and Nero (possibly Vergil) should have resistance to it in base for being able to activate DT after time has stopped and DT being unaffected by the time stop.

Or would DT have so sort of limited power null for allowing the users to break out of attacks?Dunno, gotta look into it
 
They all have their own time powers so it would likely be a resistance, or game mechanics since I haven't seen that happen
 
I wasn't speaking about the time manipulation specifically when I mentioned limited powernull.I was wondering if DT allowing characters to cancel some of enemies attacks,hax and grabs could be some form of limited powernull.
 
It means they have resistance, look at all the enemies that can **** up Dante in DMC3 and none of them can do shit when he is in DT, not that is power null.
 
If it was just a cosmetic choice then it would look like it did in DMC4

Cosmetics choice can be different

In 5, Vergil has a limited AoE as shown by the reaches of his energy, and you can see the space-time of that area torn to pieces.

That's basically what Yamato does

And yeah he have a limited AoE

Funny thing is that Dante can use royal guard to parry these ST slashes and if you get hit, you are frozen as if you're stopped in time, and your screen turns to gray which is a direct cause of time-stop, as shown with Geryon's abilities, QS, Bangle of Time, Nero's time arm, etc.

Dante already showed in previous games that he can Royal Block Yamato's attacks

The thing is that "being frozen as if you're stopped in time" doesn't change nothing, actually the whole argument for Vergil having Time Stop is that "because it looks like"

The "Time Stop" is activated only when Vergil manages to hit the attack, so the opponent is "frozen", meantime Vergil must put the Yamato in his scabbard, then the opponent takes the damage

So, basically, a Time Stop to prevent the opponent from keeping Vergil from putting Yamato in the scabbard ?

Because after Vergil finishes to put the Yamato in scabbard, the "Time Stop" ends. The damage is from the Yamato slashes that he already did, and the Time Stop only lasts until Vergil finishes the movement

Basically it's completely pointless, that's why it is a cosmetic choice, or Vergil have the worst Time Stop in the history of VSWiki

Why ? Because I didn't saw Pink Lasers, Portal Creation on Urizen's style, Red Big Balls, that Blue energy beams, so what makes you think that Vergil should have the Time Manipulation ? This also doesn't make sense

That part actually isn't true, the damage is recieved instantly if you DT or somehow cancel JCE after taking the hit in "Time stop" before Vergil sheathes Yamato.

Vergil should have cross-dimensional range with Yamato's portals and memory manipulation (or something) with Yamato for cutting out his losses and trauma from himself which created the various summons and memory demons.

Armored Urizen should have the Yamato crystal as standard equipment and a description for the Yamato crystal going into detail on how it works and what he can do with it because if someone were to create a match up right now involving Armored Urizen they wouldn't be able to tell he has access to that.
 
Which doesn't change my main point, if the damage is already there, the "time stop" is only there to make Vergil look cool while putting the Yamato on the scabbard

The time stop happens the second his attack starts (and you aren't blocking), not to sheath his sword.

So why doesn't it work when blocking? Because blocking is omni-directional in this game. The mechanics for Vergil's ability are very similar to Hit's time-skip in combat.
 
So it only activates when Vergil hits his opponent

Which is completely different from Hit's Tokitobashi lol

As I said, it could be Time Stop, but only for Judment Cut End, with a limited range and if the opponent block the attack the Time Stop doesn't happens

Disagree with cross-dimensional range, seems fine for memory manip. Battle wise Vergil is inspired by the sword users that cuts through the opponent, which are standing until the sword is closed.
 
cross-dimensional range is only for Yamato's portals because Balrog with only just a shard of Yamato repeatedly created portals to hell and back with it without a hell gate.

DMC3 Dante

Homing Attack with Artemis and Spiral, Artemis locks-on and tracks enemies and Spiral tracks as well.

Vehicular mastery don't see how this one was missed.He's naturally gifted with driving planes, cars and motorcycles.

DMC2 Dante

Fear aura, Dante and Chen's aura clashed destroying the enviornment and causing "absolute fear" in everyone around.

Explosion manipulation and Homing attack with missle launcher (He has so many of these I'm beginning to think it's pointless to add)

Beryl's Anti-tank rifle.Towards the end of the novel Beryl gives Dante her rifle.Her rifle has custom made bullets which absorbs and destroys magic.These bullets also produce a magic/energy absorption aura which Dante notes and is shown when Beryl shoots one Ghost Knight protecting Chen causing all the nearby Ghost Knight's to instantly die.

Extra senses can sense auras which he can use to track and somewhat gauge power (sensed Chen's,Beastheads',Mundus' and Demon World's aura)
 
Would Nero get Statistic Amplification with the Tomboy Breaker? Since it supercharges his weapons

Also the Neo/Super Buster move with the Buster arm is more powerful than the regular Buster you can do post game, is that gameplay mechanics or does it count as some sort of attack boost?
 
I would say that's just gameplay mechanics to make the Buster Arm still relevent because logically it wouldn't make sense for it to be superior to the Devil Bringer

It can be guessed that she just fainted, but judging from the fact that Mundus blast was supposed to kill Dante, and the latter reaction all seems to imply otherwise. Dante left her with Sparda's sword, so it's possible that she resurrected due the sword like Yamato did to Nero.
 
The devil sword sparda can hide people presence and form barriers all the abilities of the sparda would scale to dmc 5 Dante as he did absorb the sword so Dante would have resurrection with the Yamato
