Dies Irae Story

Dies Irae looks like a really cool VN, but I can't find any trace of its plot on the internet.

Anyone want to give me a plot summary of the different routes and stuff?

Kasumi's route: Childhood friend route :/, three commanders or reinhard and mercurius don't show up and the main villain in this route it Valerian Trifa and Ren after fighting christoff was put into permanent coma with him and Kasumi being the last ppl on earth i think (Epilogue can be wrong here)

Kei's route: Basically teacher student relationship only more legal XD. (just a metaphor because Kei teaches Ren on the laws). The commanders make an appearance along with reinhard and Mercurius. Wolfgang first shows up and showing the vast superiority between the regular members and commanders but gets killed by christoff. Kei gets beatrice's sword out of her brother and beats christoff then beatrice is revived so Ren, Kei and her charged into the castle with it being Kei vs Reinhard, Ren vs Machina, and Beatrice vs Eleonore. Beatrice managed to beat Rubedo but dies at the end due to being more of a spirit, Ren uses scherzo and beats Machina while Kei managed to slight scratch reinhard (LOL) then he was strangling her. Shirou joins in and they were almost killed but mercurius tells reinhard to let them go which he succeeds in convincing (though he mentioned that they can't escape forever) and Kai (tubal cain #3 and Kei's older brother) comes back from the dead with Babylon's relic and all three escaped. They lived normally kasumi married someone else. Ren, shirou, and Kei never aged since that day (20 years later this epilogue btw) and those two prepare for a new war against the LDOs (can be wrong again)

Marie's route: Basically Ren and his relic ROFL. Marie at the last two routes was pretty much ignorant until Reinhard crush Ren's relic and he died…just kidding Ren was only knocked out cold and later met with Reinhard and got Marie back become a person with more emotions. Reinhard and Ren has their atziluth battle and mercurius stopped them from destroying everything. Hajun comes and they managed to beat him via recreating tumor but Ren, Marie and Reinhard went down so Mercurius resets

Rea's route: Sempai route. This route is pretty much the one idk the most. Only that well Reinhard and Ren fought and stabbed Reinhard in the past because of mercurius and in the end Reinhard figured out that he was the snake's apoptosis and rose to hadou status battling the snake. They mutually killed each other and Ren dies due to being mercurius's creation iirc and Marie takes over reincarnates everyone. Three colors route is different as Ren participates in this battle instead of being collateral damage but the ending is the same. Iirc there were CGs on Ren and Rea's wedding and such though idk.

Also i should add Rea's Route is the true ending and canon route. Marie's route leads to KKK which is a what-if. In rea's route to add Mercurius was about to reset the world again after drawing with Reinhard but Marie came to him and granted his wish so he died in her arms hence why there was no reset

SPOILERS ABOUND!!


In Kasumi's Route, Ren and Kasumi are not the only people left in the world, not in the slightest. What happens is that Ren was put into a coma due being hit with Longinus from Valeria's Briah, which pulled his soul into Valhalla along with Marie's. Kemono-dono brought back Ren's soul, but Kasumi (due to her Zonnekind connection to the Castle previously in the route) will end up in Reinhard's Legion upon dying. And the LDO will come back for another round soon enough.

Kei's Route is not a teacher-student route. She's your very much archetypical Tsundere character. She only taught Ren stuff in the common route. The Commanders do show up, so does Reinhard and Mercurius, but the first ones I've mentioned didn't even reach full power. Samiel first appears, throwing a wrench into Valeria's plans. Machina and Schreiber arrive shortly after, when the 5th Swastika is opened. In her battle with Samiel, Beatrice dies because she was completely burnt out by Eleonore's true Briah, and she couldn't have won against her on normal conditions anyway. Kasumi used her connection to Gladsheimr after having Senpai's qualifications transfered to summon Kai, and have him cover their retreat.

Marie's Route contains no Hajun stuff, we know it happens sometime after but that's mostly told in KKK and supplementary material. NEET here achieves his goal, using clash of Ren and Reinhard as Hadou Gods to open up Singularity to the Throne. He descends, and leaves the Throne empty for Marie to take it. He doesn't fullfil his desire though, as Marie denies him her embrace. He's then left stranded within the Singularity.

Rea's Route is the last one and canon one. Ren didn't stab Reinhard in the past, that scene was Isaak's meddling with stuff (sending Ren and Rea into Kemono-dono's memory), which ended up with Reinhard realizing his true relationship to Snake. In their final battle, Kemono-dono nearly kills Snake, as that's the condition for his Atziluth to emanate. However, Marie embraces Mercurius, which fullfill his desire and ends his Recurrence, killing him. Marie's reincarnation of everyone's souls in her New World cause a whole lot of stuff to change. And yes, you are right. It ends with Ren and Himuro-senpai marrying.

I was mostly joking on the teacher-student thing tbh lol. Ah she was barbecued then. As she used the connection of teleport him there huh

So he used it to make the singularity but was depressed for being rejected huh
