Seriously what's even the point of comic book stories if ya just gonna make all of your heroes deus ex machina's?
No offense here man, but if you genuinely believe that heroes like Superman are deus ex machina's which never lose even though there's plenty of tales where Superman has lost to comparable or superior entities, has had his weaknesses exposed to make him more vulnerable, and has a history of struggling with his inability to save everyone as highlighted in stories like Up In The Sky then I have to ask if your knowledge on Superman is limited to the stereotype of the character or not

Just for reference Superman is never written from a powerscalers perspective.

Powerscalers will have Superman have omniversal power, infinite speed, infinite durability, can do anything etc. Snap his fingers and the entire DC multiverse explodes.

Writers will be like "wut" and have him fight some planet destroying monster and struggle against threats.

My eyes are also wide open. No way Simon is ever gonna be beating Kyle lmao, I was deluded.

Time to give up Simonbros.
Yeah I shared my concerns before, I just know they'll whip out infinite dimensional Kyle and give the Life Equation.

Supes just isn’t an invincible deus ex machina in most stories he’s involved in, guy’s got rivals (and superiors), weaknesses, and emotional vulnerabilities.

Much less “all” DC heroes, you think Green Arrow and Black Canary are deus ex machina's?
Yeah, the guy gets his ass beat pretty regularly for all his strength and might. Him having a lot of impressive shit doesn't really make him top of the verse.

Like if we're talking just Herald tiers, I wouldn't even say Superman is anywhere close to being top 10 strongest.

All I'm sitting here thinking of how stupidly broken a saiyan/kryptonion hybrid would be

Like they use solar radiation in their cells to turn into a op as hell transformation that can absorb all energy and Warp reality like no one's business

I won't lie, I do prefer grounded stories where escalation doesn't happen to the point of ludicrous which just really frustrates me that some writers only see them as, but you're right, sorry if I offended you in anyway, I'll admit my knowledge on Superman is limited beyond the exposer from Death Battle and live action movies, but some of those panels like that one that was shared earlier was very heart-wrenching and beautiful, wish a lot more stories would show that side of these comic characters more often.

In fairness, I really don't see Death Battle having Superman stomp Goku.

I think this blog closer fits to how the team will portray the fight tbh.

No no no, you don't need to apologize to me in the slightest, you have your preferences to how stories should be founded upon and that is something I completely respect. My comment wasn't meant to insult you or make you feel bad for having these views, I just get a tad bit frustrated when Superman's character is mischaracterized and viewed because of parts of pop culture such as how Death Battle painted Superman in Goku vs Superman 2 and the live action movies as you said.

So let me clarify it a little: I'm not frustrated with you whatsoever, I'm more so annoyed whenever I see that specific perspective of Superman and I wish to apologize if my comment made me sound like a dick towards you for not seeing it like I do.

Torquasm Rao and Vo are two manifestations of one Kryptonian martial art, one concentrating on the mental, the other one through the physical (as shown above). Such a technique was practiced by Ancient Kryptonian warriors, giving them the capacity to fight without being awake and thinking. They would enter into the Theta state, a type of consciousness control which allowed the practicing warrior to hone his mind into the perfect weapon. The adept would enter and maintain a hyper-alert and hyper-calm state of consciousness which would allow for perfect control and supremacy in battle.

Seeing this vs. Ultra Instinct would be neat

INB4, they give Mark Spawn scaling 😭
I thought that the Spawn scaling to Mark didn't apply since, from what I've heard, Spawn fought a clone of Mark and Spawn's power in said crossover wasn't specified in the narrative. Though I'm not an expert on Image Comics in the slightest so maybe there's some context to make the scaling viable if Mark is composited

It's definitely not valid scaling yeah. I was just memeing.

Mark's ass ain't doing shit to Gohan.

would be wrong and we would rightfully give them shit
I wouldn't lol.

I'm so sick of scaling Heralds to destroying their whole cosmology. Like every member of the Justice League is secretly above Cosmic Armor Superman. When like every single run has them well below the cosmics of their verse.

Bring on the Goku win for the sanity of vs debating comic book characters.

W-What sort of Lovecraftian, cosmic horror, and philosophical shit is this? Because I don't see anything wrong with Kryptonians being a decently strong and technological race of aliens that were wiped out when Krypton was destroyed and Superman was one of the last surviving members, but apparently one author decided to make them these abstract and metaphysical entities beyond the universe at large.

Chronic I'm starting to understand why you like more grounded stories, this is ludicrous even by Superman standards

According to this blog, Cosmic Armor Superman and Base Superman are interchangeable in terms of power.

I'm so sick of Omniversal heralds that put the Justice League individually on the level of Lucifer.
In the blog a lot of things are exaggerated, for example the universal decibel thing is interesting at first but when you look it up you will see that cyborg attacked owlman(?) with a million decibels wtf
