Yeah honestly Judge just hard counters Sans completely there's very little room to debate.

Literally the only thing that's up for debate is the speed advantage, since some people believe Sans to scale to Frisk dodging the timeline erasure while others don't and not liking FTL+ for OFF.

But like, Sans will be doing absolutely pitiful damage. It's a Star level character at the least against a character who's small building, maybe higher if you really push it. No amount of chip damage is saving him, especially since his main method of dealing damage just... won't work on the Judge.

Hero VS Hero of Oakvale (Dragon Quest VS Fable)

Connections:
The main protagonist of the first game of popular RPG series. Both are the descendant of legendary heroes (Erdick annd William Black) which actions shaped and change forever history of their worlds by defeating an evil force (Court and Zoma), with their name becoming synonymous of greatness (with William becoming the first Archon while Erdick become a title given to the greatest heroes). They too as well took a might quest to defeat a powerful begin which threaten the world itself (Jack of Blades and Dragonlord), who are capable to turn into dragons as their final forms. Their directly or indirectly cause the foundation of new kingdoms (Hero founded the Midenhall, Cannock, and Moonbrooke. While the descendant of HoO, the Hero of Bowerstone, end up unify all of Albion in one nation), while their descendants end up too proving to be powerful heroes (Hero of Southcliff, Hero of Bower Lake and Hero of Brightwall for HoO. The Prince of Midenhall, the Prince of Cannock and the Princess of Moonbrooke for DQ's Hero). And there are alternative versions of them where they fall to corruption and become villains (the player can have permit Jack's mask to possess HoO, while in Dragon Quest Builders the Hero accept Dragonlord's offer of ruling half the world).

The idea that Discord was being humiliated by Bill in the animation is ******* silly lmfao.

Did we watch the same fight? It seems like the animators made this with the intent of Discord winning, and they even had him lose the battle but win the war at the end. Crazy take.

Bill is hurt by deserts of all things, turned into a chip and eaten, engages in multiple hand to hand fights throughout different animations where they're clearly evenly matched, and in the ending is still having trouble with a Discord ghost.

I don't agree with the arguments they used or the conclusion they came too, but to say the animation paints Discord badly is just dishonest.

The fight animation is based on the verdict Bill wins, and therefore the very plot of the fight animation is below average as it is a reflection of Bill W. And Discord is humiliated most of time. Discord's humiliated moments are shown in noticeable moments, such as all animation style change, start of the battle, end of the battle, leaving the weirdbubble. Discord's humiliated moments have been well-shown in nearly every time audience could pay more attention.

Scene change 1: Bill advantage then goes to Discord
Scene change 2: Discord advantage
Scene change 3: Bill advantage

Start of the battle is an extremely clear Discord advantage. He throws food at Bill and floors him. Dodges his energy beams and then eats him. Regenerated when blown apart.

End of the battle is Bill advantage for obvious reasons.

Just say you're salty and move on. No need to lie about the fight.

******* this like I said the fight barely felt like a Discord L at all man won in the long term

First, the horribly wrong verdict.
Second, Discord is hammered by Bill, repeatedly punched by Bill, throttled by Bill, repeatedly punched by Bill, kicked away by Bill, crushed by Bill's summoning, soul crushed by Bill, while unable to do anything.

A horrible wrong verdict makes all Discord's "sacrifice" completely laughable because Discord is supposed to casually destroy Bill, but in the animation Discord is the one who is destroyed thanks to the wrong verdict. It is like the death of Orga Itsuka meme but with causal audiences not knowing that Discord is the one who are more likely to win. In short, Discord loses to the match he shouldn't lose.

I agree with Tots_Real's this opinion. From now on, Discord will be beat by Bill in the heart of the normies. And that's because of Death Battle. The result will be enshrined and Discord will be disregarded.

By the way, are there good animations where Discord beats Bill?
Bruh, as much as I like to shit and rage on the research the fight animation is flawless. MLP was NOT disrespected at all.

Discord went out quick and painless, saved his home, trapped Bill, and got the last laugh.

Compare this to Black Adam who went out incredibly painful, saw his entire home destroyed, was humiliated by Apocalypse, looked silly with his face squashed, and was threw away like trash.

They treated Discord with the utmost respect and care. Even throwing in that he'll come back as the death is only temporary.

The DB team gave the MLP fanbase so much cope. No one else in the Deathbattle has this much special treatment over a loss.

Even Weiss only got a clean death. Persona stats aside.

I could not have worded this better. And even if I agreed with Discord not getting as many hits in, it's a lot less noticable because the nature of these characters and their image is around mental f*ckery and just plain trolling each other. I think that's the best way to think about it.

Bill has always had that sort of Homelander energy where he will sadistically grin, but gets hacked off when things don't go his way. I don't picture Discord throwing tantrums the way Bill or HL does, and even went out basically on his own terms.

Yeah this is the closest thing to a genuine, no bullshit draw I've seen on Death Battle. It doesn't even feel like a legitimate Bill victory by Death Battle's own logic, even though that's the outcome.

I haven't watched the full video, but I can only imagine they mention how close this fight is as well.

Still, probably got a few things wrong or used iffy arguments.

Discord fought as a hero and died a very very heroic and glorious death. We knew how humiliated Black Adam was. To compare, Weiss Schnee got a clean death. Gray Fullbuster got killed and was verbally respected by Esdeath. Tetsuo Shima and Tanjiro Kamado got mercy death. Guts fought until his blood and consciousness went out and died standing. Touching sure, but not quite glorious and sad as Discord. Discord died a death "he should not", but still, chad even after his times. Ponies are mourning over his sacrifice and ever will.

Compared to "virgin" Bill Cipher: he got a very ruthless invasion, just to be humiliated, his works undone, himself locked back to the void where he belonged, and almost died should Death Battle not give him 11D and superior soul hax and resistance. He could only kill Discord so swift as a consolation and relieve over himself for not getting back with nothing aside from his massive loss (from the war perspective) and had to beg for another chance of breaking through Mindscape, let along starting another invasion.

The research team may be doing Discord dirty, but not the animation team and story writing part at all.

They called it nearly evenly matched.

One of the Ciphers said something like Eleven deez nuts and the two were put at evenly matches

Both were also said to have possibly higher dimensionsal scaling. Statwise, I don't think they used that.

i do think they should do a Q&A for their most controversial episodes regardless of toxicity and ignorance of the audience.

Eh, if the episode can inspire this much controversy and toxicity, then maybe they're better off not touching a QnA with a 10 foot pole. Honestly it would probably make things worse, considering audience interaction and such. As much as I disagree with the results, one video debating a matchup between two fictional goofballs shouldn't be something anyone loses sleep over, and definitely not something that should get anyone harassed.

Yeah, I’m starting to love the episode more than I am raging at the result/research now. My initial rage has subsided. It only took me getting muted from the server to fully realize that. I probably will still seethe about the results for the rest of time though since I am petty like that.

This mentality most likely is gonna result in people getting less engagment from the researchers, not more.

Everything that goes up on my blogspot is something we made and placed there on our own free time. The suggested media, and QnAs are not made or gathered for the show. They are not "technically" associated with the show or obligated to be made by us in our contracts because of that. I personally don't mind making QnAs, but people are getting increasingly confrontational in regards to feeling "entitled" to them. They where never something anyone was garunteed to get for any given episode.

The fact is a lot of the researchers arn't going to want to do extra work when people are toxic, tin foiling, and trying to pycho-analyze everything they say in bad faith. I would even go as far to as to say that I would not be surprised if most of them stopped answering questions altogether, because people have been so wierd about it lately.
Fair enough.

Regardless of verdicts, these fights so far have slapped. I'd even throw Stitch vs Rocket in there.
Stitch vs Rocket is soooo boring, I don't know why anybody praises it so much

We all know how I feel about Flo-Gutsmitri

Only Vadbito and Chosenborn comes close to challenge Billcord this season, everything else is alright to blehh

Wait for the first 24 hours and we shall see if BillCord will be FlipCord or FlopCord.
