Ngl measuring the amount of connections via wordcount actually makes some sense. I can't think of many cases where a character having 300 words of connections has less connections than one with 100

In theory (and in some cases) fans can try to prolong a list of connections in order to make a MU seem valid when it might not be.
For me, the most important things are either a single well defined theme or the MU being a notable rivalry.

I’ve spent years trying to find a solid MU for Olimar tbh. Chibi-Robo is the old one but there’s not much to it and funnily enough it’d be a giant fight for Olimar. Not super into the Tinykin option.
Me and Grey have an in joke of Olimar vs Issun from Okami. It probably doesn’t work but it’s really funny to think about.

Also yeah I’ve been gone cause I’ve been 100%’ing Pikmin 4. I waited a decade for this ******* game and it was just about everything I could’ve wished for. Definitely give it a shot if you have any interest in it, I think it’s one of the best games on the Switch. It’s probably my number 1, between it and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Right animation potential is limited because animation is not yet out.
