Death Battle Season Eight Discussion Thread (1) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Well now she beats Carnage even harder.

The only other Lucy matchup I can think of is Diavolo, who's wincon would still basically be "keep dodging until she melts."

Doesnt diavolo blitz lucy to hell and can impale him because he is like 100x times faster and funny Time skip?

pd: realized lucy is beyond him in dura so diavolo cant funny impale sadly :(

If one honestly believes a tier 5 Lucy is possibly legit, then how is Diavolo dodging something large country range? Unless with and assume starting distance is allowing Diavolo to approach and stab Lucy.

And as Spider-Man is light dodging, likely even Carnage can zankaiken Lucy.

Also, in AP likely Lucy just scales to the tsunami she kicked up, which is 31,000 tons of TNT as stated by the crew.

There are a lot of bold assumptions used by Migue79 that I would like to invite more people to discuss the legitimacy.

But since this is a "possibly" I am not about to remove that too soon, especially when some other calc group member actually soemhow approves it.



Hiei is still multi continent level. Even Spaceballs members do a better job in evaluating that cloud piercing feat.







Do not get me wrong, I am not bad-mouthing Rooster Teeth / Screwattack / Death Battle crew. In fact they do stimulate versus debaters to revise their character profiles.
Speaking of which, there are also cases where characters get downgraded. Po is kicked from multi continent to "likely city at most large country+" while the spells for Star Butterfly is better defined with clearer constraints.

In terms of reaction yeah.

Though by himself Diavollo obviously can't move that fast and Vectors would be invisible to him so, at least I believe even if Diavollo would hit first Lucy would just wipe him out later. Also dura ye.

I mean, he would understand that he need to do something but like, trying to avoid vectors would be useless because of range and the fact that attack is still invisible so he can't exactly suppose to how to escape attack. Time skip would work at the beginning but it have a cooldown (at least I believe it have, but I may can be wrong), so after first one Lucy gonna repeat vector attacks.

TS doesnt have a coldown as far as i know but yeah this is just derailing

In fact, before Lucy is pit against Carnage, I have Chise (Saikano) vs Lucy in mind. Like, these two are the pioneers of a doomsday weapon waifu genre. But Chise profile is nuked because of how poorly written it is, and nobody (not even myself) is especially dedicated to revive it.

Now, shall we continue to discuss how Batman with Hellbat vs Iron Man with Godbuster armor goes?

Any thoughts for whether Palpatine vs Xehanort should become an actual Death Battle episode? Or under what conditions should we let it become one?

idk why this is even a question when ex-DBX's like Sasuke vs Hiei became fully fledged Death Battles. What's to say that the same logic didn't apply to Sephiroth vs Virgil (1MM) either?

Actually yes a question it is because people may or may not want Palpatine vs Xehanort to become a later Death Battle.

This may or may not stop the crew from doing anything but still.

I've seen more peeps want this MU than not and outside of Voldemort for palpatine which is lame at this point Xenahort has nobody
 
Going by Yoda vs KM, Palp vs Nort is going to be a stomp for same verse MU they have had already.

Now, DB has done both stomps and for same verse MU stomps, so unless this is a problem, Palp vs Nort is fine.

Unless it has theme and fight choreography issues.

Going by Yoda vs KM, stompiness is one issue, repetition is another. In fact some people do feel like Yoda vs King Mickey is just a proxy for Palp vs Nort such that Nort and Palp may fight someone else.

One can argue Palp and Nort have different moveset the same way people still want Madara Uchiha vs Sosuke Aizen despite Naruto beat Ichigo an aged while ago tho. Without changing any tier perspective.

TBH I personally believe fight choreography should not be much a problem despite the verdict is really copying from Yodickey.

Speaking of Kingdom Hearts, who else could come up?

And... Who can Cell fight in a Death Battle? I hear Copy X being The One, while Meruem and Dark Samus are "more popular" alternative choices.
 
We talked Cell while back.

Dark Samus is most popular. Zygarde is less. Metal Sonic exists. Everyone wants to ignore Amazo. Meruem is basically Frieza vs Mewtwo tier.

Was it Smashor who wanted Copy X here?

Personally, Super Skrull seems to fit. Sure, its comics and Thor scaling would make win, but with SS you can have SFM and Devilartemis do the fight which is the most important requirement.
