who is DIO's best match lol
Shin from FoTNS
ambitions_to_conquer_the_world.png

Blonde antagonists from 80s manga that can pierce people with their fingers, both first started out as main hero's friend, but eventually betrayed the main hero for their personal goals and ambitions. Both also had an incredible amount of followers and minions. Eventually they meet with their rivals (Jonathan and Kenshiro) and lose to them, because of their improved martial arts skills.

Arguably the most well known anime/manga vampires of all time, and have an extensive history with a vampire-slaying family bloodline (the Pillar Men are ascended forms of Vampires so Joseph counts). They're both known for their stylish appearance and sadistic methods of killing, as well as the ability to augment their abilities by consuming blood. They also come with the standard set of vampire hax, like ludicrous healing factors and immunity to aging, and at their peak the gain control over a facet of reality (DIO can manipulate time and Alucard becomes omnipresent). They also have a relationship with a priest and have a respect for the humans that have defeated them, and this is also a battle of opposites, with DIO being selfish and power-hungry and Alucard fighting on behalf of humanity and wanting to be killed by a worthy human.
99% of what you listed are basic vampire cliches, you can just put Dio or Alucard against any other vampire and it wouldn't change

i wonder if death battle will ever use xeno goku
Goku vs Superman 3. Death battle will use every single incarnation of them to ever exist. The fight will be one second of Superman dabbing and annihilating the entire dragon ball verse.

Wiz: Superman is literally beyond omnipotent because [explanation of DC's insane cosmology that dubiously scales to some obscure version of Superman]

You literally just need to use thought robot you don't need dubious scaling

The only thing that's vampire cliche some of their abillites (and even then they still have unique powers amongst other vampires). The rest are close or nigh exclusive to Alucard and DIO.
Having a relation with a vampire-slaying family is a common vampire cliche
Being sadistic is a common vampire cliche
Having stylish appearance is definetly a common vampire cliche
Ability to augment their abilities by consuming blood is also pretty common for vampires
The only things exclusive to them are having relationship with a priest and having respect for humans that can beat them lol

Also another good opponent for Dio is surprisingly Orochi from KoF
-Both are towheaded villains
-Both emerged 100 years later after they were defeated
-Both have a rivalry with main hero's family
-Both have a shit ton of minions
-One of their minions is an evil priest who acted as a main antagonist too
-Their body parts (Orochi blood and Dio's parasites) had terrible effects on people
-Both came back in a body of other character
I prefer Shin vs Dio, but this match works too, i guess

Okay so? They still apply to Dio and Alucard as characters. And no, that's not the only thing exclusive to them lmao. They both also summon familiar/spirit-like beings to fight for them.

Also, so what the connections are cliche (even tho they aren't imo), it's kinda justifiable as Alucard IS Count Dracula.

So Alucard vs Dio's connections are generic but these aren't? Lol

Yeah, but they apply to other vampires as well, you can just put up Dio and Alucard against any other vampire and it wouldn't ******* change anything

Baskerville and other shit from Alucard is different from za warudo, but i get your point, yeah

And?

So Alucard vs Dio's connections are generic but these aren't? Lol
I guess so, that's definetly not Dio's best match, Shin is still here and i do think Alucard works better than Orochi because at least it's more fair

Literally no. Maybe some things, but every vampire story has differences while having the same basic shit.

Sure

I mean Dracula kickstarted the vampire tropes. It is Alucard's true identity (Based heavily on Bram Stoker's to be exact)

I don't know Shin, but I still prefer Alucard heavily.

Yeah, but 80% of what you listed are basically in all vampires, it may differ, but it would still be kinda same in terms of connections

Then i recommend you to watch Fist Of The North Star, if you liked Jojo, it's a pretty good-ass show and Araki himself was inspired by it

If we don't get Alucard vs Dio, I'm gonna be pissed that they missed so much potential for Dialogue between and amazing Animation Potential and don't get me started on the music potential. I can already see them getting Takahata101 to voice Alucard for it.
I mean it obvious it's gonna happen this year
The crew stated the fight is gonna happen at some point
Was a DBX
Was hinted to be This season Halloween episode

Valid valid. Tho one more thing I would point out is that some of the vampire tropes really apply to iterations of Dracula/fictional vampires loosely based off of Dracula. But fair enough.
