Death Battle Season Eight Discussion Thread (1) (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I thought of two things:
  1. There are few Cartoon themed Death Battles. We've only had Rainbow Dash vs Starscream, He-Man vs. Lion-O, Beast vs. Goliath, Pinkie Pie vs Deadpool, Shovel Knight vs. Scrooge McDuck, Raven vs. Twilight Sparkle, Samurai Jack vs. Afro Samurai, Optimus Prime vs Gundam, Ben 10 vs. Green Lantern, Leo vs. Jason, Danny Phantom vs. Jake Long, and She-Ra vs. Wonder Woman. Most of these matchups have been stretched across a good number of episodes in a season or even whole seasons.
  2. When we get Steven Universe vs. Star Butterfly, do you think we'd get Rebecca Sugar and/or Daron Nefcy involved like with Butch Hartman? Like getting reactions from them.

1. Also pinkie pie vs Deadpool, rainbow dash vs Starscream and maybe Optimus prime vs Gundam since optimus prime is cartoon character I guess.
2. I think in date similar to DP vs JL. It is possible for creator to react on this. At least because DB is pretty popular.
 
The death probably won't be violent, given the nature of both characters. Disney isn't petty enough to sue someone for having their character lose in a fight to another character.

Yeah, but they eventually were brought back. Once again, DB probably will want to settle things with Disney before the battle releases.

  • Sonic vs Mario 2 was a bad episode
  • The Goku vs Superman episodes were some of my favorite episodes despite the poor research

Daron probably won't show her face after the ending she gave Star vs.

Eh, the animation was good I guess but it wasn't very memorable. Aside from the moon being pissed on by Eggman split in half I couldn't tell you what happened. The original Mario vs Sonic was way more memorable.
