Mewtwo and Contessa are both in-character with speed equalized. Mewtwo can be assumed to be a composite of all forms and incarnations.

Both start out 20 meters apart on an indestructible version of Coruscant. Who wins and why?

Mewtwo: 1

Contessa: 1

Inconclusive:

Contessa because despite the huge advantage Mewtwo has in every category. Any flaw that could be hypothetically used against him and give contessa a victory will happen, no matter how small the percentage is. Like this girl either loses or wins no middle ground. And if she has even the teeeniest tiniest chance of winning. That path to victory opens for her and let's her win.

That would be the case...if she had more than 0% chance of winning. Unless she can disappear from his line of sight in a second, she gets atomized by the massive AP advantage.

A quote about Contessa just to give an idea of how her ability works in combat, especially in regards to "getting hit" and what exactly "0%" means.

If he punches, her power supplies and puts her on track to avoid the punch unless you're saying that it's 100% impossible for a fit human to avoid the punch, 100% impossible for Batman to miss that punch.

Even if he does hit, if there's any possibility, however infinitesimally slim, that she could move in the right way
and dampen/negate the blow, exacerbate a weeks-old injury on Batman's part, have him hit her in a way that damages his hand, leaves him momentarily slower as he shifts position to follow up... if there's any chance she could fool him, let the punch land but stay conscious and functional (or functional enough to see the rest of the steps through), and make that one of several steps to deliver the decisive blow and come out ahead, then she has it, and she takes the advantage (and wins) or skips straight to winning.

And in the midst of all of that, if she can move in a way that makes her momentarily - given the light - resemble his mother, or find any infinitesimally small crack in his psychology, that's free for her to utilize. Batman's careful attention to environment and detail becomes a liability as her power latches on to the fact that Batman is apparently a speedster and her best avenue to victory is to exploit his psychology. That thrown batarang at the outset gives her a window to move or make events conspire to make him think of a dead Robin, which buys her the necessary hundredth of a second of hesitation a few steps down the line.

She's limited by the speed of human thought (though to a lesser degree than a lot of people in this thread seem to think), but her power isn't, and can calculate vastly faster and more comprehensively than even Batman. When he's starting the fight, actually operating by the limits of a(n exceptional) human brain, her power is already 100 steps ahead at checkmate. It's not a question of 'if she's moving to react, he's moving to adjust to that reaction' - his adjustment was already called for and planned for.

Relevant bits are in bold and underlined.

She would legitimately beat any other type of Pokémon except psychic ones because of just that: the move Psychic.

Both are in character and speed is equalized, so there's 2 questions that need to be answered here.

1. Mewtwo's Psychic has been portrayed a few ways over the years. Usually it's either telekinetically controlling the opponent or firing a ball or wave at them. In character, when has Mewtwo used a complete full body paralysis in the first second of battle and how many times has he done this compared to anything else? Given Contessa's power, the ball or wave has no chance of hitting her, so that portrayal is irrelevant. However, exactly how paralyzing Mewtwo's Psychic has been shown to be is highly relevant, as being able to move even a little will mean she has a chance (and thus a 100% probability) of winning.

2. In the second (or microsecond depending on how you equalize the speed) Contessa has before Mewtwo attacks is there literally no possible way, under any circumstances in any of the infinite number of universes she could ever possibly make him hesistate or say something that emotionally cripples him or do anything that gives her the advantage to keep battling?

If she has precog+mind reading, and can get into Mewtwo's head somehow, she could say something about AmberTwo. That's literally it. But the odds that she knows about that in itself is zero, assuming he can even recall that, as he was mind wiped from that trauma.

Yeah, PtV allows her to "know" things that she doesn't know. The power is literally precog turned up to 11 along with autopilot.

The woman spoke in her ear once more, her voice insistent. She translated, asking for a way to understand the answers.

"It's dangerous?"

Fortuna nodded.

"Are you sure?"

"I- I would stake everything on it. Everything ever."

Though she didn't even know the words she was speaking, there was a conviction in her tone that seemed to reach the woman.

And given that her reaction time is 0 (although the rest of her movements are regular) she will have the initiative here.

I think Fortuna can win, if she has the slightest chance to win she can win
That is definitely a NLF if I ever seen one

Anyway All Mewtowo has to do in this match is look at contessa funny or Tap her and she's dead. There no way she's gonna win if she doesn't have probalilty Manipulation or any decent hax. And before People say she may have a chance of winning that dead wrong.

First off Attack potency there's no way that mewtwo gonna lose in a hand to hand fight with Her. Durability haha no. Abilities also no. Range no. Stamina no again. Maybe her Hax "might be able to exploit some weakness?" no not really when Mewtwo could just as I said again lightly tap her and she dies or even looks at her funny and she dies

Tell me how just having Precog gonna win her this battle or Better yet how was this no closed for a mismatch.

That is definitely a NLF if I ever seen one

While this is a mismatch, Contessa's power isn't a NLF on that sense. If she has the slightest, most infinitesimal chance of winning, her PTV will tell her what that chance is and carry it out perfectly.

But yeah, this is a mismatch
