So, I was skimming through the Egyptian books and noticed something interesting: Chaos created the Duat correct? They mention how all things were born from that sea of chaos where Apophis' shadow was trapped iirc.
From the description they give in the books, the Duat seems to be pretty much a multiverse, each layer a different place. When Sadie and Carter are invading that Russian place, they mention that they could just be inside the Duat, in a place that looks exactly like Earth. And when they're fighting Apophis, he keeps breaking reality and sending each of the gods to a different layer of the Duat, and they all look like Egypt.
Seems to me that there are entire realities inside the Duat, not just the smaller mythological locations we see through the books. What ya'll think?
