Some characters deserve to be High 7-A

-Darth Maul's feats include all of these

1) matching and seemingly outmatching Mace Windu and Aayla Secura in Son of Dathomir. Mace Windu is NOT a character who holds back, and rather, has a "No BS" attitude and kills at first chance

2) Fighting Darth Sidious 1v1 and for a short while doing pretty well for himself in that short period, even getting a good kick in, whatever that's worth

3) Handily defeating General Grievious, showing him well above other "Likely 7-B" characters that Grievous has defeated

4) Matching Ahsoka Tano in Rebels

5) Overall being comparable to Dooku, who is in the same league as... Ahsoka (honestly, I think that's wrong and that Dooku would easily defeat her, but I digress)

6) Before you people note "Ben Kenobi godstomped him", it's worth noting that he was exhausted after walking for a very clearly long amount of time, was clearly losing his mind, and, if you look closely was caught off guard by Kenobi changing his stance at the last second (he was using Qui-Gons technique at first, baiting Darth Maul to use the same move he used to kill Qui Gon (the hilt strike), which Kenobi anticipated.

I don't think this would scale to Savage Oppress, but you can debate that. However, I think these 5 put Maul in the same tier as Vader, Sidious, Windu, Ahsoka and Ben Kenobi


This scales definitively to Anakin Skywalker (who in canon is stronger than Vader iirc), ROTS/Prequel Era Obi Wan, and Count Dooku


This scales possibly to, as previously mentioned, Savage Oppress as well as maybe Kit Fisto, who has a similar feat in briefly fighting Sidious (and is fairly impressive besides that)

This seems alright to me Man I'd argue Savage might scale since he seemed at least as strong as Ventress iirc

2. Sidious was blatantly toying with the two of them and easily incapacitated Maul with Force Lightning. Even without that, he's definitely not on Sidious's level.

3. That's not exactly relevant.

5. Dooku is not High 7-A.

There are only two real feats here, and one of them sounds dubious.

Should Savage stay where he is?

2) Sidious is superior to Vader (High 7-A) anyway, so he could still scale if he was comparable to Vader. Sidious during the fight actually shows himself to be angrier later on in the fight, or at least annoyed

3) No, but it's more a "supporting feat", so to say. Grievous' showings tend to show him above anyone above the top tiers at the time.

4) Understood

5) Ahsoka's profile says she is in the same league as Dooku (who is way stronger than Star Wars 7-B's anyway barring a handful)

6) It's just to debunk that point.

Yes, but only with the force. Maul actually holds his own pretty decently during the lightsaber duel, however briefly

Yeah, no, Sidious toyed with them and was clearly superior.

Frankly, Rebels Ahsoka's AP is just pointless fluff. The thing that actually gives her the feat is being comparable to Vader.

And Rebels Ahsoka is comparable to Maul, who shows no signs of being stronger than say, ROTS Kenobi or Anakin.

My point is that Maul doesn't scale to Sidious at all.

My point is her AP saying she's comparable to Dooku is just fluff. Her actual feat that gives her High 7-A is figthing Vader.

Yes, he absolutely does. He fought Ahsoka enely, who then fought Vader a few minutes after.

Because 1) I don't think it's been stated that Anakin < Vader, and 2) Feat wise, Anakin is easily superior to Vader aside from that High 7-A Calc

Having just rewatched Maul's fight with Ahsoka, I am fine with it being a new key but only a new key.

Last thing then. On a related note, Mace Windu discussed that Anakin was arguably the most powerful jedi alive. If that's true, he should get a High 7-A key by virtue of being comparable to Mace Windu and Yoda, albeit weaker than the latter (I put him above Windu, but that's not something I wanna discuss here), and defeating Dooku who in both continuities is regarded as a peer to Windu, who obviously didn't get 16-160x stronger during TCW.

This might not give TCW-ROTS Kenobi anything, as I recall in one source he fought Anakin after Anakin went through the exhausting battle of Order 66 and killed the mustafar leaders, all without sleep or rest
