Can The Thing (John Carpenter) assimiliate a Saiyan? (DBZ)

Yes you read that right,since The Thing has assimiliated alot of things in the cosmos and other aliens before (and it's implied) and can copy them perfectly.

Would it be able to assimiliate a Saiyan?

I know this question sounds dumb but still i'm genuinely curious.

If the Saiyan willingly allows it or is weakened to the point that their physical ability is basically already impaired? Sure.

If the Saiyan is alive and healthy though? Yeah no, The Thing is NOT infecting them. You can attack their cells all you want- said Cells are able to hold integrity against attacks that vape half a nation. It would be a horrible, HORRIBLE NLF to say that just because something attacks stuff "on the cellular level" that they can somehow destroy and replace Cells which has displayed far higher feats than it.

tl;Dr, you have to give The Thing a meal which is basically already half-dead or not willing to protect themselves, which most Saiyans would want to protect themselves if a tentacle monster just grabbed them.

Doesn't answer the question and Cell is just as likely to reverse-assimilate The Thing and Cell's one is arguably better since he absorbs not only your Organic Matter, but also your Ki.

To begin with, it's a horrible NLF to say that the Thing could ever penetrate or otherwise harm Cell without the Thing alongside all their cells blasted away by a casual Ki Aura.

Could The Thing maybe assimiliate Nappa or Raditz? i mean Nappa is a brute...and we all know what happens if you use brute force against The Thing...i know both could easily destroy The Thing if they wanted to,but since they're like VERY arrogant and Nappa isn't very smart would they just punch it just to end up getting assimiliated?

Raditz is a coward and if he saw a blob thing, he'd nuke it without hesitation.

As for Nappa punching it... no he would not. And even if he did punch it, there's jack shit the Thing can do about it. The Thing is NOT getting through Nappa's Skin which can tank firepower able to nuke the Moon out of the sky.

Also it'd be much more likely that Nappa's Punch simply splatters the thing. You're assuming the Thing is able to tank Nappa's hit, but The Thing couldn't even take KID GOKU'S PUNCH let ALONE Nappa's.

It's much more likely Nappa uses his finger nuke because The Thing barely registers as a power level 10 on his counter.

It mostly comes down to sheer durability. Against any Saiyan that has their defense up, the Thing will never assimilate them in a billion years. You'd pretty much have to spoon-feed the Thing saiyan cells before it can really do anything but that's also the case with 99% of other species in fiction.

Maybe if The Thing went into a "Cell style" AKA Some scientist used it to give it DNA of various creatures and Saiyans maybe it would stand more of a chance against a saiyan that isn't gonna just let themselves be assimiliated
