If it's not as bad as the other live action adaptation then I may actually consider investing on it
 
A thought occurred to me; wouldn't avatars have resistance against memory manipulation? The other avatars could talk to the affected, alive avatar to bring their memory back. In fact this happened to Korra in the Beginnings two-parter after she got amnesia.

Some may argue that this wouldn't be combat applicable because she had to be put in spirit water to help get her memory back, but her being put in the spirit water was more for getting rid of the residual dark spirit energy in her body, not for her amnesia (in fact she was starting to remember Raava and contact the other avatars before she was even put in the water). This is proven in the season finale when she and her friends were put in the water again to get rid of negative spirit energy.

I wonder if the birth of Raava and Vaatu was the literal dawn of time, as in the concept. Not enough evidence for this of course, but it'd be cool if a future series explored the implications. Especially since it's hinted that the lion turtles predate even the spirits as they already existed when the world "began".

I think I was onto something here cause there's a few equipment items in the Avatar Generations game that are relevant to this. The most notable one:

  • Book of Time — A book describing the origin of temporal events through the clashing of celestial forces. 👀
A few others:

  • Feather of Time — A feather quill thought to have been used by the monk who wrote the Book of Time.
  • Mask of Time — A mask depicting a human face from a point of view outside of time.
  • Scroll of Time — An apocryphal scroll positing that the temporal flow is only a subjective illusion of human consciousness.
  • Map of Time — A map rumored to depict locations in the world where spiritual forces influence the flow of time.

So has anyone read the second Yangchen book yet? I've been meaning to get around to it.
 
I may have cooked too much, but let’s see what people’s opinions on this are. This kind of pairs with my earlier post about time in the Avatar world.

So I discovered this quote from Mike and Bryan a while back, which takes place during the sequence when Korra’s past lives were being destroyed. It’s interesting to note that they state that the camera is moving through not just space, but time as well. Another moment where this happens is when Aang tries to connect to his avatar spirit, which is represented as a giant purple version of himself in space. The series finale shows that the past lives and the purple Aang are the same thing, and that the avatar spirit exists as its own cosmic self. Same thing happens with Korra, but instead, she connects with her cosmic self as an individual, rather then as part of the avatar spirit. The creators called the celestial Korra and giant blue Korra the same thing, and both of them are sometimes referred to as cosmic Korra.

Would this mean that the “cosmic energy” that spirit Korra is composed of not only include space, but time as well?

I rewrote Avatar's discussion rule to make it clearer.

I still want to hear people's opinions on this. Supporting the fact that the celestial avatar contains time are the avatar book 2 extras from series writer Joshua Hamilton.
 
I’m not entirely certain. The camera “moving through time” seems more like it’s just showcasing the past Avatars than literally moving through time. The same for the Book 2 extras stating past and future Avatars will cease to exist. We know the past ones are stored inside the AS with Raava so the death of Raava will break the cycle as seen with Korra but the future part of the statement is more so to do with no other Avatar will exist after since no Raava will be connected to their soul when they reincarnate.
 
Wonder how the reiatsu crush from Bleach would interact with the avatars. Yangchen from the newest novel was unaffected by the fog of lost souls because of the amount of past lives in her soul. The fog directly targets souls, per wod that stated that everyone in the fog (at least prior to Jinora) was dead.
 
Probably wouldn’t work since relevant soul crush has feats of affecting millions of souls and even weaker ones affect them in the thousands.
 
For soul manip, vsbw doesn't count how many people you can affect, but how many layers you can bypass. Though every time the question is asked for how many layers there are in Bleach, there's always a different answer.
 
Oh I know. I’m just saying that if the requirement is numbers, Bleach kinda chilling since there are similar stuff in Bleach for more souls = stronger.

So about this. I looked in the book 2 art book and it shows the outer space background for that scene (just the background, so no avatars present) and it describes it as "the tumultuous outer regions of space and time". So if the avatar spirit, and by extension blue spirit Korra is composed of "cosmic energy", aka time and space, I feel like that would allow her to have acausality type 2.
 
I don't watch Death Battle that much, but boy, people are still ******** on the Toph vs Gaara match years later. But by the site's standards, the match is closer then people think? If we're not using Boruto-era Gaara, that is (Lol, Boruto). They're pretty close in speed, and all of Gaara's attacks require travel time. Wheras all Toph has to do is stomp one foot on the ground and bam: Gaara's been sucked underground and crushed.
