AC revision after months yay or smth idk. (Starting threads is hard)

^Everything I want to change in Koro's profile. Rest of the profiles will be updated according to this (i.e The Reaper gets Adaptation)

The rest is as follows:

Tentacle life-forms' attack potency, striking strength, and durability are all bogus.

Because the current justification only gives AP to Koro and Reaper, ignoring their durability and striking strength, while Kaede, Itona, and Yanagisawa lack all three.

So, what do we do? If someone could calculate one of these feats, it would be great, but I lack the ability to do so, and there is not a supporter that can, and would like to, as far as I know.

I personally propose reversing justifications back, so that we don't have ratings come up from literal thin air.

If you're proposing something like this, I know it's proper etiquette to find appropriate replacement(s), but it needs to be addressed.

(As such, I still haven't changed Koro's AP, Dura, and striking strength in the sandbox.)

Tadaomi Karasuma: Class K (Is able to lift up to 100 tons) those who scale to this should do so.

Bringing up this feat (again for the 4th or so time), Itona threw the jet at the tank seemingly effortlessly, and keeping the statement above in mind, tentacle life-form ratings should go like this:

Itona Horibe: At least Class K (Effortlessly threw a jet at a tank destroying both in the process).

Kaede Kayano: At least Class K, likely higher (Itona said she was far stronger than even he was).

The Reaper: At least Class K, likely higher (Far stronger than both Itona and Kaede).

Itona and Reaper lose their resistance to corruption as they did not resist it a bit.

Itona was on the verge of breaking down after he did not get his maintenance. The Reaper was already corrupted by the time we saw him. Kaede's resistance to corruption is limited to mind and madness.

People Reading/Discernment should give resistance to social influence, as it can detect if a person is lying or not being entirely truthful.

To think it's been 9 months since my last AC thread, time flies.

I agree with everything at first glance.

I'm a little iffy on the social influencing bit. Like, the main feats were have for social influencing within the series are directly shown fooling people with People-Reading.

Hmm, care to elaborate?

As far as I remember, brainwashing in AC is a skill that works separately from People Discernment, while that is more for smoothness in... assassination (Frankly, it kinda works like smoothness in general, just saying "in assassination" downplays it smh).

The existence of Gakuho, the (feat-wise) series' most potent brainwasher, who is most definitely incapable of using People Discernment, brainwashing people regardless of their intelligence or mental state, should be proof enough of it.

Koro’s is similar, if not identical to Gakuho's; he didn’t care for the mental state of Aguri; there wasn't even a remote mention of People Discernment when he (was) stated he could’ve brainwashed her at any given moment (Narratively, Koro's should be far more potent than Gakuho's too).

The Reaper is most likely to have used People Discernment on Irina, although he should get it regardless of whether he used it or not. He did convince her that the only group of "family" she felt was actually her biggest enemy, within a day or so, no less.

The rest of the characters either get it from being educated on seduction, from scaring away trained dogs, etc.

In case you said this in response to People Discernment granting resistance to social influencing, it's just that seeing a person is lying or not being entirely truthful should help you to not get tricked, manipulated, etc. similar to Phoenix's profile (why he has one tho).

Mainly in the fact that the Reaper and Kaede were able to fool Nagisa witht heir social influencing despite him being the series' premiere measuring stick for People-Reading

Getting clapped by The Reaper was what made Nagisa learn the People Discernment, and they did not interact with each other until the series finale afterwards. I mean, they did briefly meet when he was cloaked, but that wouldn't prove or disprove anything. (Even if they did, I doubt People Discernment would work over The Reaper's weird bloodlust.)

While neither Nagisa nor Koro noticing Kaede's situation sounds more like a plot-hole, but it definitely makes sense or she just has ungodly acting skills.

Uh, Nagisa had People Discernment from the start of the series, it's his whole thing. He just got better at it to the point that he was able to learn the Reaper's wavelength stuff. And the Reaper managed to inflict the brainwashing on the whole class, including Nagisa, when he first entered the classroom. Albeit, Nagisa figured out what was going on once he dropped the act. I doubt the brainwashing would work on him again.

And yeah Kaede's acting level is just obscene. I'm an actor irl so watching her pull that off it's just like... how the actual ****

Weird... I don't remember even an implication that Nagisa had People Discernment before getting clapped by The Reaper... But, re-looking through 100 chapters just for that is also not worth it, so.

What Reaper did was just make them feel relaxed so that they couldn't be on guard against him. He did not show any brainwashing feats (Irina is a possibility, as we don't know how he influenced her thoughts though).

Or was there anything else?

Now make a thread breaking down every single Kaede scene as an professional actor.

I believe Nagisa outright says that watching for his mother's reactions and mood changes was the reason he obtained his talent, but I could be wrong.

Ahh. Now I kind of remember it. But, still, when I said "People Discernment," I meant it's "complete(?)" form. Not Nagisa unconsciously reading into people due to his past experiences (to be honest, I never thought of that as an "incomplete" People Discernment to this day, but the series makes it clear, I suppose).

Ah yes, I agree with that then

Right, I forgot about this.

Uhh, considering the lack of active/interested supporters and the time this thread has been going on, is this enough of an input?

In any case, I'm done with updating profiles. Everyone, please check to see if there's anything wrong with them. A few things still lack scans and references, but I can deal with that anytime.

Well, it's been a week with no reports. I guess it's safe to assume there is nothing blatantly wrong with updates.

Thanks to everyone who contributed one way or another, especially to @Therefir.

I'll request this to be closed.
