On the hunt to gain more recognition and fame, Luffy and the Straw Hat pirates set off to defeat a reported demon and his crew who has appeared and taken over Onigashma after somehow defeating Kaido.

Arriving to the Island, Straw Hat Pirates find themselves face to face with Seven Deadly Sins, with Luffy challenging Meliodas to a fight. Meliodas accepts with a laugh and leads Luffy inwards, before the pair settle in for a battle.

Luffy (Starting in Gear 4)

9-Rei Rubro, Cholcomilk Alex, MrDrProfessorPatricio, Calaca, PyschoWarper, Strawboi, Schnee One, ZackMoon1234, Fcxfbx5

Meliodas (Post-Purgatory)

Speed Equalized (Unless otherwise seen fit)

Winning condition (Incapitation)

Who Wins?

Luffy probably scales up to 2.5 Teratons

While all I know is that Meliodas should be above baseline

Mel has scaling chain that puts him above Luffy in AP. Luffy has precog and speed boost that puts him above Mel in Speed.

Meliodas has never been seen fighting an opponent with the same fighting style as Luffy. Soon he would have no advantage in experience.

Luffy looks like holds versatility with FS, dura negation (He will use Goken when seen that his natural attacks ins't good enough), stamina and blunt force resistance (which is greater in tankman and boundman).

Mel's soul absorption is totally OoC so he probably will not use this in a close combat.

Voting Luffy for now.

What is Goken, I see it mentioned on Luffy's profile but what exactly it is isn't shown

And you should also note that Meliodas possess his own form of speed boost as well, in using his demon mark and true magic.

Future sight kinda makes this unfair for Meliodas though and Luffy has Dura Neg due to Goken so Luffy wins. Unless mel pulls out a soul absorption which is not in character for him. Voting luffy

@Duedate

Demon mark and true magic are not speed boost-focused techniques like Luffy's Snakeman, which amplifies his speed passively and gradually.

While not strictly speed related, both can be used to increase speed however and also have the connotation of increasing durability.

Now, here's a question how can Luffy maintain Gear 4?

Yeah, but Mel needs to stack damage and considering Luffy can just watch the move seconds before he can either fly away and let Mel waste it, or stop him on the tracks before he uses it.

So I'm voting Luffy. Future Sight makes Luffy able to just dodge everything on his way and Goken makes the AP difference lose meaning, so Luffy can just harm Mel even if he loses G4 (which is totally inconsistent because he has used it for 20 minutes before).

Let's not forget that Luffy, while not as experienced as Mel, is way more skilled and has overcome more skilled and experienced characters than him. He'd notice that even if Mel regenerates, he's not healing the damage, and since most of Luffy's moves ain't magical, FC and VC are useless. Swordsplay is also less useful against Precognition and the fighting style Luffy possess.

Mel also has his black balls (lol), which can be used to overwhelm Luffy with the number of attacks or to use them as a shield, like he did with the DK, that could be useful against Goken.

RC is an AoE attack, flying away wont help him much (and its not like Mel will let him). The same if Mel decides to use the massive darkness pillar.

Mel is also really good at H2H combat (and mixing it with swordsmanship), so Luffy's style isnt really a problem. Mel should also have speed advantage thanks to demon mark and true magic form boost.

Danmaku gets countered by FS.

If Luffy sees the RC getting about to explode then Luffy will fly away or stop him. Speed equal means that RC is as fast as Luffy (without amps) so if Luffy starts his movement seconds before, he'll have such seconds as an advantage.

Luffy's style is troublesome for people who can do that (albeit without that much experience), and he's far more versatile in CQC than Mel.

Luffy's Gear 2nd is Rel+, Gear 4th let him blitz someone who was superior to Gear 2nd (Healthy Doffy) and Snakeman isn't only naturally faster than Boundman but can also increase his attack speed the more his arms stretches.

Okay lean more towards Luffy but what would he do against mel's condensed sphere barrier and attacks?

Those I can see piercing him unlike bullets and hellblaze in combination with his sword (isn't Luffy just as vulnerable to slashing as someone without gomu gomu no mi?)

Let's not forget hellblaze which can also be aoe and it damages people with Regen up to Ban's level(regened from a bloody mist) permanently

Luffy's Haki helps him to protect the body from the attacks his rubber physiology doesn't protect him from (piercing and cutting damage) so if Luffy uses Haki, he'd get less or even no damage from such attacks.

Luffy's regen is not a factor. It's not combat applicable.

Will armament protect against it though? And if Mel decides to spread the black flames all over like he did to dolor? Idk man Luffy can't Dodge em all like that one playground kid that says "didn't get me!" Everytime

It'd, yes. It's what it does.

Luffy can see the attack coming seconds before Mel even activates it. He doesn't need to dodge it, he could stop Mel before he can cast the flames with a punch to the face.

And he had to face off against an opponent who doesn't have wield magic in his arsenal, rendering his signature move, Full Counter, powerless. If only he has the other version of Full Counter, then he would be a monster to fight.
