Basically because Spongebob vs T.rex is a stomp because the T.rex can't kill Spongebob.

Spongebob messes around with Sandy's time machine and sends him and Gary back in time 65 million years, where they are attacked by a hungry T.rex.

Gary is the size of a cat.
