I don't know enough about that character. Mind giving me a quick rundown on what he can do?
Also, what defensive options does he have? Because it was already decided some time ago that those would be important here.

I already linked his profile above, but here it is again. Basic run down, he can kill conceptual beings and manipulate concepts, can damage souls, precog, memory manipulation, emphatic and mind manipulation although he needs to touch his opponents use those, he can can harm intangible beings, has power nullification, and he has resistance to soul and curse manipulation and most likely mind and memory manipulation as well, along with resistance to power nullification probably.

Also, is his precog usable in a fight? Or is a it a 'seeing the future in dreams' sort of thing?

His precog is useable in combat, it lets him be able to predict his opponents movements.
As for power null, it's from two things Kalavinka's sweet voice, which uses sound and basically listening to it is poison, their power of mana, as well as the means of its use, and the control of their spells are all relinquished. it's all cause Kalavinka is an higher order ego, whatever the hell that means, here is the quote:
"For an inexperienced magician, prematurely listening to that gospel is nothing but poison. When a low ranked magician is exposed to that higher order ego, the selfishness of their weak ego will run wild and vanish. The power of mana which is the embodiment of their desires, as well as the means of its use, the control of their spells are all relinquished. Kalavinka's sweet voice. It is an anti-magician magic meant to be used against people like you."
The next way he can nullify abilities is through Mysterium vis Distortion, here is the quote ""―Event agitation. At the point in time where a physical phenomenon is decided to occur, it contains all the events that can possibly occur along with their processes and results. All such things will naturally flow towards the most probable outcome, and that result will be brought forth. But if we mix in 'the components which establish mystical laws,' then at that point in time, the result becomes unstable. When applied correctly, it is possible to use it against mystical laws like the one just now―especially against bland magics which can no longer be fully controlled." Using magic theory, he used the confrontation between components to destabilize the result. The magic Suimei used against Liliana's magic back during their fight used this law. It was a technique which used 'the components which established mystical laws' to confront magic which held the same type of components. It destabilized the magic, and then brought about a convenient result for the caster."
So basically at the time where a phemonon is going to happen a number of things can happen but the most probably outcome will, suimei can cause the event to become unstable, as such his opponents magic backfire on them.

This thread is way outdated. A bunch of these characters aren't even 8-C/High 8-C anymore, and a number of the ones that are have seen updates anyway.
There's gonna be a new royale for 8-C at some point anyway. Dunno who's handling it, though.
